If the PS3 was "never a consideration" then why were all of those news stories about C&C3 being canceled for the PS3 even relevant then? If they never had any consideration for putting the game on the platform then why was it announced for the platform in the first place?
I'm not a C&C fan anyways, but regardless of that it still doesn't make sense to me that they would announce a game for a platform, cancel the game for that platform, and then...

HOWEVER
Resi-4 was released on the Gamecube for like an entire year before it ever saw the light of day on the PS3. I doubt that the timed-exclusivity would be THAT long, but even so that type of deal didn't kill the PS2 and it certainly wont be damaging the PS3 as long as their other 1st-party titles released this fall and holiday season hold up as good as they are claiming.
It may "lead" to a delay but considering that Square-Enix never gave a release date for Versus XIII officially then its not really a delay. It's just....a change in production priorities.
To be honest? I just think that Ninja Theory got kinda miffed that their beautiful action tour-de-force was met with a collective "bwuh?" back last september.
Don't get me wrong, I own the game and I think it has some of the best graphics and animated sequences in most games today. However, and I'm putting this lightly, it was just way too short. A hell of a ride, but like roller coasters they're pretty much over just as your really getting in to them.

MGS4 already got confirmed to have sold 1.3 million units worldwide on Day one sales. I'm fairly certain that the entire week (which actually ends this coming THURSDAY) will show extremely impressive sales.

Apparently you haven't done your homework on the whole "BD drive is sloooow" myth. You see, when most people see the term "2x BD drive" they automatically think "OMG thats like a 2x DVD drive! thats terribly slow!!" except the only thing that these people realize is that a 2x BD drive is not the same as a 2x DVD drive. 1)If you look at the attach rate for the game it isn't really "bad" news and who cares if VGchartz is as accurate as NPD or Sim Exchange? The only real purpose of that site is to give as accurate as data as they can based on algorithms and estimates. They're not as in the know as NPD and Sim Exchange so a lot of the site bashing needs to end regardless of bias or not.
