No difference in the graphics.
Both are awesome versions of the game and the 360 version has all that nice multi-player wrapped up inside.
On that note however, I kinda find it obvious that a reviewer from "Xbox 360 World" would take his time out and bash the PS3. Sure, the game was out a year and a half ago and, whether or not you want to call this a fanboy statement or not, it had more development time and was built as a port on a piece of hardware th...
Isn't it kinda funny that your bringing out the whole "Wii hasn't been out a whole year yet" argument when defending the slow software sales and you expect them to buy it, but when people use the same defence for the PS3 and it's hardware then people claim it to be "fanboyism".
What i believe it will come down to is the Wii Vs. the High-Def revolution that is becoming the mainstream choice of media. The Wii is obviously an innovative piece of hardware, but i...
I agree with you in theory!
However true at the moment that people are developing certain games for the Wii (Monster Hunter 3 for example) it doesn't mean that software sales are anywhere near where they should be.
Metroid Prime 3 (supposedly THE action game to buy for the Wii) has only sold over 460,000 units in America after 8 long weeks. Bioshock hit 500,000 in a single week. In the top fifty sales last week for America? Only 8 of them were Wii titles. What ga...
What's really funny is that the Wii is really a runaway success in one departmant, and that department happens to only be hardware.
The most purchased games going for the Wii is actually the same old song and dance for every other Nintendo console since the SNES. First. Party. Titles.
That's it. 3rd party titles lose out on the Wii and I think that's why Reggie makes those claims that he wants flagship titles that belong on other consoles on his own. The casual g...
The release date for HAZE has been November 27, 2007 and it has been set at that date for months now. Also, the article never mentioned that the game was delayed but is being polished just to make sure that everything is worked out and running fine. Nothing in there about a delay.
Besides, The Nov. 27th date still falls well within the realm of "In before christmas" and considering they haven't ever claimed that they would ever miss that announced date why assume that...
Blockbuster has pretty much told the HD-DVD crowd to take a hike and the numbers you gave? kinda pulled outta your hat were they? Here's whats really going down.
1,450 US stores are offering Blu-Ray excusively through buy and rental. Only 250 US stores offer HD-DVD and even then they offer both formats. Now, HD-DVD is still available online for now, but ever since the announcement from Blockbuster people have cancelled HD-DVD player orders in favor of seeking out BR players and...
Superbad is also coming to Blu-Ray in december.
How come everyone fails to mention that the push for movie studios wasn't made by Sony but by a group called the Blu-Ray Disc Association.
Yes, Sony is a partner in the BRDA and of course that prominently landed the Sony Pictures movies straight to Blu-Ray, but nobody ever mentions the fact that top leading manufacturers were also responsible for gaining the attention of the big names in hollywood.
Matsushita, Pioneer, Philips, Thomson, LG Electronics, Hitachi, S...
The stuttering 24fps that those multi-player maps the 360 owners have to trudge through.
As for a great online experience? If you own a PC then i'm pretty sure your familiar with it considering Anything PC online > Console. However, since many people can't afford to upgrade their rig every time a Crysis-like game comes out they stick with their respective consoles.
I've seen lag on the 360 Live servers (especially in Halo 3), but I have yet to witness a single...
It has effected both consoles and the issue resides on Konami's side of the problem. This isn't a post to try and trounce PS3 capability, so quit trying to make it out to be. Konami is trying to create server stability and that is good news.
Apparently Ubisoft actually made a ton of money this quarter so they are holding back a few titles so they can rake in another good bit of cash by delaying the releases until the next quarter.
So, no development issues have arisen here. It's all about making it in the black (which is good) on those fiscal reports.
With that said, Haze and Assassin's Creed have not been delayed as far as anyone knows. Ubisoft has not given any word on those two titles, but all sig...
Dang, your right. AO2 is EA, so that is totally my bad.
Still, AO2 is completed and has already been reviewed by a few sites, so that part of my post was accurate. If EA is holding it back to streamline it then that makes it even better. After the whole fiasco with the PS3 versions of Madden 08 and Skate I'm glad to see they will take the time to improve the overall gameplay and graphical experience.
Army of Two for the Ps3 was actually completed. It had gone "gold" but Ubisoft wanted to hold it back so they could tweek it and streamline the experience for the next-gen consoles. So, development processes aren't the issue here.....Ubisoft just wants to take a finished product and make it better.
So, a delay with that type of reasoning behind it I can go along with.
This news story has already been on the wire for about a week and a half now and the games listed for delay were not Haze or Assassin's Creed. The Ubisoft games that were delayed were Rabbids, Army of Two, Splinter Cell, and an unannounced game in development.
Considering that Haze's marketing advertisements are starting to ramp up with KoRn jumping on board to record a track and Gamestop has begun advertising the game I doubt that it will be delayed until next year. Assassin's...
Well, I own the PS3 version of the game and I guess I managed to get one of the "PS3 fixed working special edition" copies because I haven't encountered any of those problems at all. Also, my copy seems to have come packed in with a locked 30fps and anti-aliasing all set up and working fine! Wow, how lucky I feel.
Seriously though. There isn't a single issue with the PS3 version of Jericho and it looks and plays absolutely amazing. As for his complaints about the &quo...
Yay, so your point is made by a technicality? So, your actually going to SAY that your right just because the hardware in question is outsourced from another warehouse? It's STILL available -through- Amazon.com and even so neither of the systems SKU's are in the top ten.
The only real significant change in hardware sales is with the Elite (the better model anyways) and it has gone up quite a bit. You can pad the information all you want but the actual case is that the 360 will ...
Halo 3 is still number 1 on Amazon. Yay!
However, the Wii and PS3 are still kicking in at #5 and #6 respectively. The 360 console (Elite model) rings in at #12, Xbox 360 20GB model doesn't appear up until #29. Halo 3 special edition 360? Looks like it is hanging in there at #32
How about availability?
Wii - 67 used & new
PS3 60GB - 29 used & new
PS3 80GB - 25 used & new (EDIT: found this one ranked at 58)
360 Elite ...
Considering that the repair issues of the RROD systems has cost them a 1.8 billion hit PLUS all of the development costs with Halo I seriously doubt that it is going to turn a profit. Even if it DID it would be a small one and it would only be profitable game wise. Not hardware.
The marketing campaign alone was around 300 million dollars. NOT TO MENTION the Halo 3 release is going to be extremely top heavy. Which means that most people are going to buy it within the first week ...
Allow me to pick apart your "prophecy" Oh, Prophet.
1. XB360 sales did not ramp up in light of Halo 3 release. 360 sales began increasing in early august due to the various price drops on their premium, core, and elite SKU models. Even so, their numbers only increased by 25,000 per week. A good number, but still not even close to overcoming the Wii.
2. Not everyone thought that Halo 3 was the "best game EVAR". IGN AU and Gamedaily were among q...
360 has a years extra worth of titles and thus has a far better attach rate at the moment. That = Common sense.
However, the only reason why the Wii and PS3 trail is simple:
1)Less time, less games.
2)Wii attracts alot of crap gaming which nobody really buys. (Gingerbread Ninja anyone?)
3)PS3 suffers from "lackofgamestoplayism&quo t; However, recent news shows that the kind doctors of many 3rd & 1st party developers are providing a cure for...
