The graphics show just how little effort is put into most wii games. There are hardly any jaggies on my hdtv. The control is excellent and dialed in perfectly. The atmosphere, character design, music and art style show actual attention to detail.

I was thinking the same when playing RS2. It's the first real amazing looking third party wii game I've played. The game is excellent and the controls are nailed, so rare for a third party wii title. It's the first third party AAA wii game (though TvC is near top quality and titles like COD reflex come very close).

Statistically it's still usually worthwhile. If I get an xbox for 100 with double the chance of breaking I break even if I buy two. And it lets me choose the model and have another chace.
For something like a wii it kills since they're so reliable.
True about the disc but those are usually the cheaper problems to fix and in particular with the xbox the heat ruins the solder before anyting else.
It'll only work with a horrible tv that upscales real poorly. It can't add new info so it won't look close to real hdtv. But if there are horrible jaggies even at a distance and clear problems it *may* help. This occurs when you get a cheap hdtv like mine, which was 500 dollars and 40'' 1080p on a 2 day best buy sale. I got my 360 used from a pawnshop for 100 dollars. They let me check the manf. dates and I got the newer chipset from 2008 that's less prone to failure. It was in great condition. Don't buy used hardware if you don't know about it, the price is anything above rock bottom, and it's a bad model.
