The PC version should be definitive: the original master of the game, complete with the base assets.
And I don't mean that in a PC Master Race way, I'm looking at this as a cultural heritage/historic preservation angle. Good PC versions of games are important to preserving the games for the future. A lot of importance is placed on the PC as a high end gaming platform, but there's a lot to be said about the significance of it as an archival platform.
TBH it isn't doing too shabby given that it's only on the New 3DS.
They didn't criticise the game for being tough, but being tough to get into, tougher in fact than it was before. That's a different criticism from simply rating the game down for being tough.
Yet the CPU demands are relatively high in comparison, telling me this game is CPU load heavy. A great way to utilise that £300 graphics card I have - not.
Erm... weren't these specs revealed zonks ago?
Here's my take as a reviewer: So how far does this go? Say I do a video review of a Nintendo game, or even a text one, that's content made off the back of Nintendo's IP. I'd be furious if Nintendo barged in and said, nope, you gotta give us a cut.
As a reviewer I'm ineffective if I can't cover a game, but I'm flat out crossing ethical boundaries if I'm having money cross hands with a developer/publisher.
Nintendo needs to step ...
Huh. I seem to recall digging around and not finding anything explaining the concept of humanity. But maybe I missed something.
I'll be sure to clear my summer schedule to go through it again, this time much slower.
Wish I actually had a 4K screen so I could appreciate the difference properly... *sigh* maybe one day.
Hmm. I wonder, would it be a good idea to play DS2 first and then go back to the first one after my skill level has increased?
Hmm. I still have DS1 sitting on my shelf, largely unplayed. I've always wanted to get into it but it seemed like the game assumed you already understood all this stuff that there's no explanation for (even digging around).
Kinda hard to get riled up about it given that, from what we've heard, Xenoblade sounds like it will have almost too much content as it is.
Haha. Really looking forward to that card now. Just a few more days.
Depends on what they mean by variable. Are we talking up-and-down all the time and closer to 30? Or near 60 most of the time with drops here and there?
In any case, pretty sure FF14 is 30FPS max on PS4. Not played it mind, just watched it over the shoulder of someone who was.
I'm currently looking at picking up the Zotac AMP! version of the 970 next week (upgrade from a 270X). As much as I tried I couldn't find a justification to jump up to a 980 as the price-to-performance flat out doesn't make sense until you go to very high resolutions.
And that's the thing, none of the cards out there are really UHD ready anyway, as I've yet to see cards chew through UHD games maxed out with plenty of performance overhead to spare (future p...
The price has dropped even further now. I just got it from G2A for £7.99. Yikes!
It never came out in English, which is probably why.
TBF no one would even give this game a second look if not for the fact that it was one of the only notable JPN Xbox One exclusives.
Online play is in the works. Patch coming at some point in the future. I'd suggest getting very good and very fast because I'd imagine only the hardest of the core are still going to be around for that.
Crazy how smooth it looks like that. It's almost like CG. I've got to get me a 4K monitor one of these days... just as soon as videocards that can drive that resolution fall into consumer friendly prices (I wouldn't consider the 980/290 to be powerful enough for future games).
Amazing how small the difference between low and high end shadows is. Whenever I'm having performance issues in games turning down the shading is the first thing to go: massive performance savings and minimal visual downgrade. In the case of DOA though not only is the difference tiny, but you'd be luck to catch it when you're actually playing.
