This game is great, I loved the first one so I picked it up. They improved on a lot of things from the first. Most of the balancing was great except for them ruining Zidane.
People who don't have data from the first one are going to have a lot to get through, but it's worth it.
If you get frustrated at first just stick it out, the game starts off slow but becomes exponentially more enjoyable when you have level 100 characters with good equipment, because then you can s...
Playing it now. Really great. Sort of sad my weapons didn't transfer from my old file, but still a great game.
Oh boy, westernized Professor Layton.
Bodyguard: "I'll let you into this building, but first you need to solve a riddle. How ma-".
Layton: "How about I ask you a riddle? How many bullets does it take to paint that door behind you?"
Bodyguard: "Wha-?"
*Layton pulls out .44 Magnum and puts a bullet between Bodyguard's eyes*
Layton: "Critical thinking is the key to Success!"

They need time to come up with an excuse as to how they think the 360 version is better than the PC version.
"Game was so gorgeous on PC I had trouble concentrating on what was going on because the scenery was so nice, minus 3 points"
Developer's determine the amount of power being used by the CPU usage used when the game is being played. The reason why developers say a game uses all of System X's power and then the next game they reiterate is because they're able to optimize the game. When a game is made they finish it first, THEN work on making it more efficient.
Of course it's not time efficient to completely optimize it, so just doing enough so that it runs at a high FPS consistently is enough ...
Okay, I may have over-reacted, but honestly this guy's on something to say that 7 is even remotely better in ALL aspects to those games.
Story- Oh bawww, Shinra are eco-terrorists destroying the planet, let's stop them, oh shoot Sephiroth is batshit insane let's stop him with the Holy Materia before he destroys the world, oh darn Aeris is dead how revolutionary for a game, it's not like everyone in your party "died" at some point throughout FF4s stor...
You think Zidane is a lousy protagonist, but have an avatar of Cloud, Advent Children Cloud even, your opinion is invalid.
Buying this day one and importing all my characters from the first. The game seems like it'd be hard to review, I know the game didn't get fun for me until I hit 100 with a few characters and got into developing strategies and equipment/skill builds for each character, if you take it at face it's pretty mediocre, but when it's more fleshed out it's a great game.
Not so much anymore, though I've heard of a few occasions where they do.
The reason is that the game's learning curve and depth turns a lot of people away so in comparison to games like Street Fighter where thousands can play competitively Virtua Fighter's player population is relatively small. So it doesn't attract tournament attention like for Street Fighter. I don't even think they play VF at Evo anymore.
Virtua Fighter is the elite of the elite for fighting games. No bullshit projectiles to spam, no garbage unblockable attacks, reversals are actually hard compared to those joke parries in Soul Calibur and it's not a a lame juggle-fest like Tekken where one attack can send an opponent high up and you can keep them up in the air almost indefinitely.
It's just raw close quarter fighting that relies solely on skill and reflexes. Virtua Fighter games are also probably the only figh...
I'd like to see something done to balance the classes a bit. I see only Infiltrators and Marksmen everywhere and both classes are much more attractive skill and weapon wise compared to the other classes.
I play Tactician and a decrease in the ridiculously long cooldown on Spot and Mark would be more than appreciated not to mention our sentry bots do shit damage. It's sort of hard to cap points when you can't see the invisible sniper waiting to brutal melee you as soon as ...
I don't own a 360, but having played and enjoyed Forza 3 for several hours at a friend's house I would grab this in a heartbeat if I had one.
Damn. I can understand seizing shipments until the case is settled, but going into people's homes and taking their property like they've committed a crime is messed up.
Good thing there's Botzone.
Got Xenogears, Vagrant Story and Tactics Ogre too.
On a side note the PC Crysis 2 demo is sick although it need some fixes.
Marksman class is ridiculous, a team I was on yesturday got destroyed because 3 Marksmen camping staircases with the Sta Assault rifle and Machine pistols while invisible.I really don't see why they would give an assault weapon to a class that goes invisible AND jams radars. It's bad enough when one manages to pick up a shotgun...
Still a great game, love Tactician's spot and mark.
Unfortunately even if against all odds Gears 3 was a flaming turd in a case it will likely do Killzone 3's lifetime sales in its first week. Didn't Gears 2 sell like 3 mil in one weekend or something?
The reason it doesn't do insanely well sales wise is that it is not a household name like Halo and Call of Duty. At the same time Killzone didn't really get any recognition until Killzone 2, which came out while the market was saturated with other FPSs.
On a side note I enjoy the fanbase being the size it is. I went with a friend to the midnight release of Halo: Reach and it was absolutely packed... mostly with 14 year olds with their moms but there were a still a few chill gu...
But I just bought Xenogears!
I can't balance both at once...
Dat Harley Quinn.
I'm glad it's DLC and not a new game.
Unfortunatley knowing Capcom and how it was around 30 bucks for early purchasers of the Original and Super's Alternative Costume Packs together I'm not looking forward to the pricing.
