I don't think there's another game out there with a soundtrack as amazing as Chrono Cross.
Definitely in my top 10 list of RPGs of all time.
When I read the title I was thinking, 'Oh god why', but after reading the article I had a good laugh.
I want them to make a new Dark Cloud or Rogue Galaxy more than an MMO, but any Level-5 love is great.
It's funny because Xenoblade Chronicles was essentially Final Fantasy XII light on easy mode with a little Rogue Galaxy mixed in.
Also a bunch of mediocre Xenosaga games and Xenoblade don't even remotely come close to a company that defined over a decade of RPGs.
Think before you talk next time.
I picked up my copy and strategy guide two hours ago.
Unfortunately it's crunch time for me at work and I'll be lucky if I get to play it in the next 3 days.
This game is actually really fun.
At first the resource system is a bit of a pain and you may throw a few bucks down just to get a good permanent militia load out or two, but that urge to save up for better gear makes you play a lot smarter, especially after you lose a few 50k+ rifles to people with basic weapons.
Also any game that rewards support classes well gets a thumbs up from me.
I managed to find copies of DDS 1, 2 and Nocturne last year, all three of them great, unfortunately my 80 Gig MGS PS3 YLOD'd on me and I lost all my save data. Haven't hooked up the old PS2 to continue playing them yet, though I have replaced the PS3.
I would pay a large sum of money for a Level-5 HD Collection of Dark Cloud, Dark Cloud 2 and Rogue Galaxy; or even DQ8, Dark Cloud 2 and Rogue Galaxy.
Your grammar is sad.
1 and 2 only seem average now because of their age.
Back in the day they were some of the best RPGs around, any detriment to their quality is due to the evolution of the RPG as a whole leaving them looking archaic in this day and age. Chrono Trigger is an amazing game, but I don't know many people who can play it for the first time nowadays and appreciate it, just because newer RPGs offer so much more.
The reason why P3 and P4 are so popular is due to their ease of access ...
Wow, I know N4G gets a lot of trash talked about its apparent bias towards PS3, but the comment section of that page may in fact be the most embarrassing things I've read in my life. These people talk about Zelda like it's a religion.
@WhateverBrah
Too bad its gorgeous graphics don't make up for the trash gameplay.
I just want a Monster Hunter on decent hardware, is that so hard Capcom?
I've never heard of a SRPG that didn't take a while to get going.
Is someone gloating about their X Box really denouncing a system for its supposed lack of games? What irony.
Also, good for you; you got DLC early. When was the last time you full priced games for free?
By the way, what's it like paying premium for a service and still having your dashboard plastered with ads?
I like having the choice to pay a premium for extra or pay nothing to use basic features. I guess you don't mind paying extra for the ability to do things...
I'd rather have Max or Monica from Dark Cloud 2 honestly. Dark Cloud 2 in criminally underrated for everything it did for its time.
CTR and DKR crush the original Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64.
All of these images were in the game when it was released on PC back in the day. They showed up in the shell menus when installing the game.
What's up with GameSpot lately? Looks like they're taking a page from Edge and Destructoid and writing troll reviews to get hits. Skyward Sword got a 7.5, Gravity Rush got a 6.5, this got a 6.5, etc. I understand that reviews are completely subjective to the reviewer and those that read it, but come on.
Looks like Sega is taking a few pointers from Square Enix with Kingdom Hearts, Capcom with Monster Hunter and the Tales games on how to royally piss off your core fanbase by throwing the titles all over the place.
I'm waiting on the guys at Shoryuken to determine the competitive merit of this game before grabbing it.
The old KIs were fun, but the competitive scene was more or less nonexistent.
That theme song though, so good.
