Cool, glad this game is going to be a serious sequel and not just a cash in.
I also want to know if they're going to re-balance some moves or if certain characters are going to be modified.

On a side note the only character I would really want to be added to this game is Ramza from Tactics.
I'm iffy about this game.
I loved the original because each fighter felt unique without going into Street Fighter/MK same-but-slightly-changed movesets to boost roster count.
I'm hoping new characters all have unique play styles as well and they don't change the core game too much.

I love SSF4, but it's probably the game that makes me rage the most.
I never played Fall of Man. Did the weapons have accompanying levels to them in FoM? Because I noticed on the weapon wheel that each weapon had a level associated with it.
I hated Seth. It was so hard to beat him without cheesing (i.e. Stand back and turtle, then use anti-air when he jumps at you, or for the especially scrubby shotos, SHORYUKEN).
Robo Ky from Guilty Gear X2 was another pain.
Might pick this up. Loved Demon's Souls for the expierience, but dropping the server support for the original so fast has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I really wish someone would just straight out ask, "Is this a world-wide PS3 exclusive". I'd like to know whether or not I should continue caring about this game.

I wouldn't mind a new XIII-2 they can pull it off well. The linearity and the characters of the original were shit though. Also get rid of auto-battle.
Still think vXIII looks to be a more promising Final Fantasy.

I don't think they could have come off as more apathetic to the series. I find it sort of embarrassing how they refer to the firefights as, "...your typical stop and pop battles with the Helghast" when I'm pretty sure every video review/preview of Halo or Call of Duty by IGN refers to shootouts as something along the lines of, "The same great gameplay we've come to expect from the series"
I'll get both eventually. Which I get first depends on the PSP2's launch line-up. If it's weak I'll wait it out, at the same time I won't buy a 3DS until I see a decent game that isn't a remake of an N64 game.

I hope they sell the new costumes in a separate pack bundle, I just bought the complete costume pack for 18 bucks or so a while back.
