@Tinasumsum
The village level from Uncharted 3 is probably the best lighting and texturing I've seen in on a console game ever; better than a majority of PC games too minus a select few.
I remember how tense I was during my first 32 player Corinth Crossing match in Killzone 2's multiplayer. I think I spent a majority of that match cowering behind a wall because the entire mid field at the bottom level of the map had grenades going off every second and all I could hear was turret bullets and rifle shots. This was early on before anyone had unlocked any of the more advanced classes. God I miss that...
For in game shots they don't even look that bad.
Don't see what people are complaining about.
Were people expecting the game to look like Highest setting PC Crysis or something?
People who role play online are retarded. Flame on.
Bummer, on the bright side that's an extra 60 bucks to spend on another one of the great games coming out for PS3 this year.
I love MGO so much.
I never played MGO1, but MGO2 from MGS4 is probably the only online game I've been able to play consistently for a few years. Unfortunately it also has the worst community I've seen in an online game and the glitchers and poor servers are beginning to kill it for me.
TOMBA! 3 PLEASE
Tomba! Pretty much was my gaming childhood.
Still my favorite platformer.
Not if the data is apparently part of the game.
For example in Mass Effect 2 on PC there's the Movies folder within the BioGame folder. If I wanted to fill space I could simply make a fake file with the same extension that was say, 4 gigs in size, or split that up over multiple files to not make it too obvious. Then give the files convincing names.
When data is extracted from the disk it takes data from folders, it doesn't check individual files, in fact the only way t...
More disk size available allows for higher quality textures, higher polygon-count models and uncompressed audio to be used.
So yes, it does have an effect.
I'm not to concerned about it, there will likely be a lot of changes in the first few months about it.
I remember when I first got MAG and everyone was like, "SMG's have too much range! Shotguns fire doesn't spread enough/is too accurate from distance! LMGs are Overpowered!" and everything was patched to hell and back again.
Believe me, I don't see that ability staying as is very long.
I actually hope that Sony begins filling their Blu-Ray disks with filler data to deter piracy. I mean, yeah there are people who will be like, "So what I have a good enough connection so that it will take maybe a day or less", but their ISP will still see that amount of bandwidth being used on that one site/file and flag their IP address.
On a side note, if they went this route for games there would be no problem at all.

I'm still annoyed at how effective bodyshots are against ARMORED enemies. Maybe I'm just being elitist as a side effect of playing MGO too much lately but I've always felt that headshots should be considerably more efficient than body shots as far as time it takes to kill an enemy. Not 3 bodyshots doing equal damage to 1 headshot...
EDIT:
On a side note, the game looks amazing and I'll still buy it day 1 .
Dear Kojima,
There are a ton of great games with amazing music.
Though amazing music is sort of wasted if used in the wrong mood.
Metal Gear Solid games are an example of using your soundtrack correctly. That last fight with Liquid at the end of MGS4 where all the past tracks kick in at different portions of the fight was AMAZING.
I just hate when music gets used to denote mood. Square Enix games do this all the time where, "Oh this is a sad part let's play this track"...
@gaffyh
Not necessarily. They could just implement a counter on the disk to decrement when the same disk is used on a different ps3. Essentially just put a conditional in the startup function on the disk, that decrements an integer holding the amount of serial numbers remaining if it's on a different PS3. Of course, I'm not entirely sure if PS3 Blu-Ray disks are able to be written to or if they're read only, and if so that data can be stored on the PS3.
I assume th...

According to MetaCritic Gears 3 needs a higher rating than a 92 to beat the Gears of War franchise in quality. At the moment God of War is STILL the better franchise.
I prefer LoD to all but a select few Final Fantasy games; (IV, VI and IX) the game doesn't get enough appreciation for how fun it was, Additions actually made battles interesting instead of a grind.
Hated that shit.
32 Players at Radec Academy is just overkill.
I've always had a soft spot for the Persona games. I'm especially fond of the depth of the characters in 3 and 4 compared to the shallow characters in other JRPGs. A lot of people write the recent games off as "Weeaboo Dating Sims" but that description really doesn't give the game any justice for all it delivers.
