lets not forget exploding batteries or rootkits on music CDs. There is just as much wrong with Sony...at least MS stock is still worth something.
WTH??? This was supposed to be a reply to #8.

If they would have chose not to include the pricey/risky blueray player then they would have never suffered those delays and would have been able to competitively price their machine.
Everyone knows that the only reason they included it was to try and push format wars. Even when the PS3 came out did Sony advertise as "Hey we are going to have the largest most indepth games available"...no, instead they marketed it as the cheapest blueray movie player.

Let me clue you in and anyone else running with that "Free" banner. Nothing is free. Equipment and bandwidth cost money. Even though Sony told their fans that they wouldn't charge for it they NEVER promised that their developers (who they dumped the cost on) would follow that same path. They pass those costs off in the price of the game. So for every multi-play enabled game you buy, you pay for the network a little at a time. When all these MMO games start to hit the consoles who do...
'Xbox Live is the SAME EFFING THING AS the Playstation Network!'
Make sure you keep repeating that as you click those heels together Dorthy...lol.
The self-proclaimed spokesperson for all Sony fandom has just confirmed that Sony has successfully copied Xbox Live overnight and it's FREE!!! Yahhoooo! I'm going to get online right now and message my friends to let them know. Crap, he's playing a game right now...how about...no...he's watching a movie....what about....ah hell I guess I will have to check back later when Sony hires someone to figure it out for them.
Let me clue you in and anyone else running with that "Fr...
Kaz can shove it up his crap hole. The Japanese wouldn't even have an economy right now if it wasn't for American innovations. Any idea where the IC Chip, Personal Computer, or first video game was born??? There were stand up arcade games with dual joysticks before the playstation brand even existed...all they did was miniaturize it. Innovative....whatever.
to read a mindful post that doesn't involve a bunch of factless pom-pom waving and have that fan b*tch smell to it. Well said.
that they will cut the price of the consoles themselves. Instead I would expect them to either offer killer game packs that people can not refuse or a combination of both console drop/game pack. Maybe something like a Gears of War game pack at $350 dollars and a second controller.
Maybe I'll go buy them tomorrow with the change I found in the sofa. Heh.
Maybe if you wiped Sony's money shot off of your face you would actually be able to see the facts before you. Gears is selling over there...so put whatever fantasy spin you want on it to help you sleep at night. You really are incapable of coming up with anything intelligent to say. It is the same ole crap 24/7 with you. Blah blah blah 360 sucks blah blah blah...oh yeah, your mom...blah blah blah. Just take you and your 1 bubble clones and throw yourselves into the sun because the only purpos...
Provided the developers do it right. Imagine using the Wii controller to run around smashing a giant hammer or throwing sticks of dynamite. This should be a freakin blast...LOL!
because it is just going to be light drizzle...scattered at best. The only reason I were the galoshes is for the layer of BS that is starting to accumulate in here.
Keep lapping up that crap Sony keeps putting in your dish. Their service is NOT free. Sony simply provides the backbone and the developers are responsible for their own servers...meaning the developers foot the bill. Like any business they are not going to do this out of the kindness of their heart...they simply add that cost into the cost of the game so every time to buy a game with online capabilities your are paying for the service. You pay for it obliviously and Sony appears to you as you...
anything out of the mouth of a Sony rep these days is only 20-25% credible...and that is being generous.
Was in reference to #11.
How about the Music CD Trojan Horse complete with virus friendly rootkit.
And don't forgot everybody's favorite...the exploding PC battery!
Seems like the only thing Sony is good at innovating these days are catastrophes.
This just shows the PC to console functionality. Just wait for MS to get the cell phones lit up on Live also. Now tell me that this is not worth paying a little less than 1 dollar a week for. This is that type of thing you will not get with a free network. They might be able to pull off the PC to Console multiplay connection, but to have it all intergrated in this manner...not a chance. The rest of you non-Live gamers enjoy your free second rate mashup solutions.
Input is irrevalent. This device does nothing more than convert keystrokes/mouse into joystick movements albeit to subpar performance. I have been into computers/gaming for 20+ years. I grew up with keyboard/mouse and having jumped into the console market over the last couple of years I find it frustrating dealing with controllers on FPS games. Seeing how I don't have the liberty to skip work like others skip classes to hone my console skills 8 hours a day...I appreciate anyone who provides m...
About all their DLC for Gears being free then I say let them charge full price for the game as long as they want. I am sure at some time it will come down, but if Epic is willing to support the gaming community then we should support them and make sure the other companies stand up and take notice of a successful strategy for creating a lasting fan base.
if all of those 10.4 million bought new ones MS would be able to count all those units as 'new' households...like Sony does for the PS2???
