Get the guide for when you get stuck and a little guidence sometimes. I have spent 200+ hours on the thing making sure to do all the quests and finish the entire thing. Great game.
Not to mention all the expansion material they have coming out for it.
It was mentioned in the other videos of this same subject, you would meet up with other people and then go in game. As far as the backend integration...you would think that if they did deal with it they would have announced it since that has been a sticking point with their online service.
As far as the rest, you reiterated my exact point. While you make the argument that I don't know enough to comment, it can also be said that no one knows enough to go running around like a 12...
I am well aware of what it was (despite the stuttering of the video stream)...a closed system demo setup at a trade show. UNTIL you see that exact product, functioning exactly as they show, through working internet servers full of people...not to get too excited just yet. Unfortunately Sony has put themselves in a position where they are assumed guilty until proven innocent.
This is another CGI concept demo created to steal the show at the GDC. UNTIL they actually get this thing up and running people would best be served to be skeptical.
I can see graphically the demo looks impressive but what will the real thing do once the servers are up. I am still not hot on the idea that you have to meet up with a group first and then go into a game...why not join friends already in game. They should have spent some of their time improving the back end integra...
This game is going to be crazy. As great as it will be to use the direct attacks I think it will be just as much fun using the destructive environments in creative ways that will add to the insanity. This will definitely generate YouTube material when it comes out. LOL.
"Furthermore, Microsoft estimates that gamers spent over 2.3 billion hours on the network playing online games ever since 2002. An average of more than two million texts and voice messages are being sent everyday while each unique Xbox Live Gold subscriber has at least 22 friends on his friends list.
All Xbox 360 owners have unlocked almost 300 million Achievements and of these, a combined total of 7.5 million Gamerscore have been created."

These are Photoshop pictures of a ficticious game that Bill Gates masterminded to steal the spotlight from Sony and bolster sales for the Xbox360. The 360 only has shooters so this must be fake!
drip...drip...drip...sarcasm.
...everyone knows that the forementioned tactic is Sony's way of "competing" this time around.
This game is going to be sick for RPG and KOTOR fans out there. And if you don't like those type of games...well there is...
You really need to put down that bong filled with Phil Harrison's secret sauce. If you really wish to avoid coming off as a know nothing you really should keep your mouth shut until the numbers come out, because after it is all said and done Halo will most likely sell more copies than both those games put together world wide. When it comes to electronics, the Japanese support Japan plain and simple. If they wish to keep their economy strong that is what they must do, so claim victory over the...
If you think that this one download is going to put Sony over the top when it comes to online services you need to come back from your drug induced Sony fantasy world. MS already has plenty of these multiplay only type games on Live already...they are called DEMOS...but if you prefer to pay for a demo then that is your choice. Sony might have a slim chance at one day coming close to live but you will never see them surpass it...even with their proposed (rumor) virtual doll house crap. With LI...
No need to pray because Bluray is NOT going to win the format war anytime soon no matter how much Sony tries to pay for the win. HD DVD is closing the space issue with extra layers, is bringing out cheaper players, and has the support of the porn industry...so expect a fragmented userbase for some time.
Here's the better answer...IPTV. Do you really think format will matter when MS makes deals with all the cable companies to use the IPTV enabled 360 as their set top box. Not ev...
Add how many copies has Resistance sold to date?
How many awards has Resistance raked in?
You may wish to try games on something other than the "Easy" level if you wish them to last longer. The main appeal to Gears just as it is with Unreal Tournament is the multiplay, but if you prefer to just play with yourself then I guess that is your choice.
I couldn't help but notice that common word again...WAIT...been hearing it a lot.
you would also be aware that your precious (and ohhh so trendy) Apple corporation copied everything they started off with from Xerox. The concept of the icon and the mouse were Xerox creations until Jobs took his little tour of their facility. Welcome to the real world, ALL companies do it to. The ones that don't have the resources to copy just go out and "aquire" tech...Google sound familiar? You should really get off your high horse before you fall off.
Sony was getting record pre-orders in Europe and the Aussie's already announced that Blu-ray won. So....I guess all this really means is that spouting specs and boasting functionality means nothing....it all comes down to price. The Blue-ray player for $600 is a tired excuse. The fact is that they don't want to pay over $300 for any type of new player little alone a gaming machine. HD movie format has been pushed out way before it's time in order for "someone" to try and capture mar...
starts off with the words "According to a rumor"...lol. I would guess this is the reason why it did not meet approval. As with most everything out of Sony's mouths these days, this "rumor" is crap until they can offer something in the REAL world that backs up the claim. My guess is that this is no more than a lame attempt to spread rumors to try and lessen the momentum for the Halo release. I know about 10 million reasons why it won't work.
"Some raving fanboy who has Bill Gates & Pete Moore's shaft sooo far up his arse that if they released a different "Degree" of XBOX every month he would buy it. As long as its cheaper than 600 dollars."
Yeh...like that is not a statement out of the mouth of another fanboy.
I think you need to go sit down pour yourself another great big bowl of SONY O's and eat until your ego feels better. Oh...and if you are looking for the prize in the bo...
the future is NOT shaped by the past...it is shaped by the present. History guaranties nothing. This is the same faulty logic that Sony shot themselves in the foot with. They felt that their past PS2 success would automatically give them supremacy this time around and now they are finding out how wrong they were. No one with a shred of intelligence would suggest that they will get swept under the rug...not while they are willing to pour money into it. BUT, if the HD format wars takes a bad tu...
that except for the convenience of the HDMI connector for some, it is not needed...despite what some marketing might have you believe. By the time the hardware token is enforced MS will have their next version of Xbox out which will include HDMI (newer than v1.3) along with a dual format HD drive. I for one would much rather pay $300-$400 dollars every 5 years than $600-$800 every 10. So for all those who claim to keep/enjoy their console for 10 years more power to you. Technology moves much ...
is the accuracy of the article. You cheerleaders can argue all you want about which lineup is stronger. Success in the past DOES NOT automatically guaranty success in the future...that goes for all camps. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes so posting crap for the sake of argument is not going to change anyone’s opinion on the matter. What I find interesting is how he leaves a number of 360 titles off of that list. They are comparing console lineups in this article...are they not? Last ...
Too much rampant cheating and such to whore points. They will keep this to the smaller ticket items...kinda like all the Marlboro crap.
is blindly believing everything Sony shows/says with their track record over the past months. What was said was that it very well could have been a Demo made specifically for the show. You nor I can prove this thing was running on actual web servers at the time of the demo. The overall message in all of my comments was not to get all that excited UNTIL this thing is up and running in the real world as described. I give acclamations for promises delivered NOT promises made. So pi$$ off with th...
