All you ever do is complain about Sony fans on N4G.
Samaritan is impressive (as it was a year ago when it was shown), but it doesn't make project Kara any less impressive. Of course you couldn't resist the opportunity to troll it anyway.
Okay Sony, its time to aquire Quantic Dream. Not only are they unique, talented developers, but its clear as day that they can add to Sony's ICE team to make all of their first party games better.
SCrAM
Its probably microtransaction based. I'm sure the game itself will cost $60, but I find it refreshing that they aren't double-dipping with a subscription fee on top of that.
You say that you get what you pay for, but sometimes you DONT get what you pay for. Its what turned me off of MMOs like WoW.
You say you like that he didn't say anything about Sony....so why in the hell did you bring them up? Trying to start a wildfire?
It sounds to me like Leadbetter has heard that Sony will be using an AMD APU for their next console, and from that he is extrapolating that it will be "essentially a PC."
It sounds very much like the AMD part could be true, and if that is the case I do think it will include their fusion technology. That said, I don't think it would be one if their standard off the shelf x86 processors. It would be a fusion product tweaked for a console environment.

I was just about to post something similar. While I agree with JsonHenry's general statement about the government sticking their nose where it doesn't belong, this isn't one of those situations. You can't have people running their own gambling operations.
If these guys had simply tried to sell it on eBay they could have accomplished a similar goal without issue. It appears they have cancelled the raffle so they will probably be okay. It sounds like they are...
Considering how old this story is I hesitated to comment, but I just need to get it out there.
First, this was clearly a Sony Liverpool employee having some fun. It wasn't big, mean, naughty old Sony.
Second, I'm a big Halo fan. But I couldn't help but laugh at the entry, because its pretty much true. It uses virtually the same engine after all. Doesn't take away from what is a great game though.
Finally, playing the sales...
I don't agree with that. Dark Souls is very good, but so is Demon's Souls. As for harder, I think some of the bosses are harder to figure out in Dark Souls. Still, its easier to play in soul form (or "hollowed" if you prefer) in Dark Souls. In Demon's Souls your HP is halved.
@JsonHenry
The PS3 uses a 3rd party GPU from NVidia. The Cell is great at assisting a GPU (Particularly for physics, Geometry, and post processing), but it isn't a GPU itself. If the PS3 has a weakness, its the RSX. NVidia still makes fast GPUs, but they haven't been able to match AMD in performance per watt, which is important for a console (lower power = less heat).
With Sony's investment in the Cell I believe that they have to continue to us...
I expect its coming. Needs cooperation from google to happen, but Sony and Google have a good relationship so it shouldnt be an issue.
Probably just isnt ready for launch. It sounds like the Google Maps app wasn't exactly ready either, but it was deemed "good enough". I expect it to be improved as well.
I'm getting a Vita at launch, but the only title that really interests me is Uncharted...and I'll probably wait a bit on that. Gravity Rush will probably be the first physical title I buy. I'll download Stardust and play some PSP games on it until then.
I'm getting it for the same reason I got a PSP, for my JRPG fix. Its been a disappointing genre for consoles this generation, but great on handhelds.
I'm gonna take a guess that the only social gaming site you visit with any frequency is this one. Given its international flavor, there are more PS3 fans here than on other sites.
A PS3 fanboy is no worse than any of the others. There are other social gaming sites more slanted to other platforms, and they are every bit as ridiculous and immature.
You do realize that every major TV manufacturer markets and sells 3D television, right? Its certainly not dead in threaters, 3D movies are the highest grossing.
Sorry to disappoint you, but its not dead. Much like HD, its going to take some time to make major consumer penetration. HDTVs first hit the market in the late 90s, but it took almost 10 years for HD to overtake SD in retail sales.
I dont see how. I doubt many customers would buy the same game on two different platforms, so they wouldn't be cannibalizing many of their own sales.
If Sony provides tools that make it easy to port PS3 games to the Vita, I think this could add a lot of value to the game for a negligible cost on the part of the developer. Now if it takes a lot of effort to port a PS3 game to the Vita then I doubt many 3rd parties will go this route.
Right now it seems ...
There are other reasons for the update, but the most noticable for the end user is the browser.
I think sometimes folks forget that the PS3 is also a bluray player. I suspect that most of the PS3 updates have to do with that functionality. I know my standalone bluray player requires firmware updates fairly often.
My biggest issue with this is the fact that Sony should be focusing on customer retention first, then expand the market. The best way to get PSP owners to upgrade is to offer incentives like the passport program.
There is another way around this, and that is to make the digital versions of all older PSP games $9.99 or less. Its ridiculous to charge $29.99 for a 2+ year old PSP game. I can understand new releases, but if the game is 2 years old its hayday is over.
Hmm, so is this going to be like Halo Anniversary? Same game, but using the Halo Reach engine with updated models and textures.
Atleast they have seen Firefly (or Serenity at the very least).
