I submitted the original story, but have approved this one because there's a lot more information in Next Gen's piece.
I think it's pretty much assured that the final H3 graphics are far better than has been presented already. Bungie/Microsoft wouldn't show their cards before seeing how good/bad Killzone 2 turns out to be.
I searched the news thoroughly and nothing came up with any matches. Lo and behold for some reason "GTA" doesn't match that story you referenced. Gotta be more thorough next time. :)
My fault -- Thanks for the heads up -- now I know not to search for acronyms-only. I'd figured someone would have used "GTA" in their story instead of the full name.
The OTHER story submitted at the same time was actually approved over this? Oh well, I guess it pays to rush it and just copy&paste.
Please, retailers' pre-release web/print catalogue information is hardly accurate.
I might rent it. It sounds pretty short, and I'm not sure if I'm crazy about multiplayer in this game. I think I'll wait for Rainbow Six.
So... Do I bridge this thing over my lap or coffee table? I don't see how this could be used properly while standing up.
Unless there's a virtual table attachment too.
Interesting, but I agree, ultimately futile.
The only reason I could think of is that they're not that big of a company. I didn't find much information on their volume or capacity, but I'm wouldn't be surprised they're just one of many smaller companies contracted by the regional Microsoft presence.
Please go pollute the comments somewhere else.
They have such a lead in the market place that I think this will all be resolved when they go to 65nm.
I wouldn't be surprised if they just swap the old motherboards for newly-designed versions, tack on a new warranty, and get this business behind them once and for all.
Poz to you.
I think it might fall somewhere along these lines:
1. Killzone will have "better" graphics, because it *has* to.
2. Halo 3 will have "better" graphics, because it *has* to.
It's a win-win scenario for everyone, because KZ2 will still have some good gameplay, and Halo 3 will still have good graphics.
These comparisons are pointless. Play your kcuffing games and shut up. The only people who shoul...
Why the hell did you have to go and make some sense? You're ruining the trend here. Jeebus.
;)
And your input is relevant HOW? Betty, you're worse than both the Bill Gates clones put together.
"Better gameplay" and "better graphics"--especially where KZ2 and H3 are concerned--are going to be highly subjective. You know regardless of how good these games end up being, the lower-echelon fanboys on both sides are going to to their best to devour each other.
It's nice and safe when kids get to argue over exclusive never-on-yourz! games.
I CAN HAS A NUMBR! ;)

In September? Up with Unreal? Doubt it. Sony wants to buy dinner and woo Epic too much to make a move like that. An Xmas release might conflict with MGS4, and while they're different types of games, I doubt Sony'd space them so closely together.
Besides, you know people are still going to complain about how unlike the trailer the graphics are (regardless of how close they really are), because, seriously, that's all the media hype cares about. I think they're going to use th...
"You know, people sue."
Boy, there's been a lot of mileage put on that quote.
Wicked, downloading now. I loved the series on my Amigas in the 80s and 90s.
And yet none of those links contain anything about Sony hyping anything up. Those are journalists' words. Please, if I missed it, point it out?
Seriously. I didn't see words from Sony in those links. I'm not saying they didn't compare KZ to other FPS games (uh, why wouldn't they?), but I don't ever recall Sony over-hyping this game. Fans and bloggers, yeah.
That's what is so sad about Killzone. A mediocre but flawed game without that "Halo-Killer!"...
Super Stardust HD! Great.
Dynasty Warriors: GUNDAM Demo! Uh... Hmmm.
GTA IV Trailer 2: Though I already have it on my PC, gotta grab it to complete the set. ;)
