UT3 is exclusive to the PS3 for this year/holiday season. 360 version may come out in Spring 08. Sure, I'd love to have it as an exclusive, but seriously, what I love even more is my ability to read and properly interpret what I hear.
Stop being such a fanboy.
I hope I called it correctly a couple weeks ago with "KZ2 + ShockAxis/SixSense pack-in". We'll know in a couple hours!
"we already own an xbox 360 and it cost us less to go to the store and buy a just in case xbox 360 (core) so if our current xbox 360 break we have another to replace it while it gets fix (2-3 weeks)."

Honestly. Do you think that is a reasonable option for consumers?
Really. Really?
Hence the freakin' word "DOCK", Sarah.
Yeah, my laptop's docking station is sooo unwieldy. Man, I guess I should take it back.
Edit for kid above: No, b/c I can move the damn dock easily to any of a dozen possible rooms, or out on the deck or in our backyard. Works well enough with the PSP on its own w/wireless and headphones.
If you can't comprehend the benefits of a docking station, your comments really have no relevance and remain n...
It'll be great around the house or office, esp. with the ability to stream all music stored on my PS3 over the net. Very handy, and some of these docking systems have decent sound.
Only an idiot would think a PSP or iPod docking station was meant to be carried around.
Well, at least your useless comments are consistent.
No, that's due to your inability to read.
"If you can show me *a* PS3 sitting on a shelf, I'll give you $1200 for *it*."
That's paraphrased, but he did only refer to "a" PS3 in the original interview.
As I said earlier, I first thought he was such an asshat for saying that, but then I realized that, literally, he'd only be on the hook for $1200. That's not a bad amount of money for the word-of-mouth advertising it generated.
...
I suspect the new SKU's August release is in part due to the debut of the ShockAxis/SixSense controller.
Positional rumble FTW!
Holy crap, is stupidity catching today?
PC games are *delivered* on DVD(s), not *run* off of them. Have you ever even installed a game on a PC? You can't run a game like directly from the disc.
There is no comparison.
You are comparing the 360's shipped/sold numbers to old Sony numbers.
End of June's total-shipped number for the 360 was 11.5/11.6M WW (20-month total), with less than 10 million sold. (By comparison, Sony shipped 5.6M WW by end of March (6 months).)
Do you think MS would miss the chance to scream "10 MILLION SOLD" at the top of their lungs if this had happened already? I don't recall seeing such an announcement.
If they have already su...
Do. Not. Post. Entire. Articles.
Re: Crysis on DVD9
Again with this nonsense. You CANNOT compare a PC game (which is merely delivered on a DVD) to a console game in terms of storage mediums, as the latter is being run directly off of that medium.
The PC games are stored in compressed form on their discs, and need to be fully installed. Your comparison is entirely invalid.
"Even a leading platform doesn't say that much. VF5's leading platform is PS3. But still the 360 gets better framerate, graphics, lightning and online when it arrives this fall."

Using your Oblivion excuse, isn't that because the developers have had all that extra time to improve on the 360 version? Isn't that what you really meant to say?
No, they shipped 10.4 at the end of last year, not sold through to customers. They've just shipped 11.6 in total.
The actual sold-through (e.g. user base) is probably less than 10 Million. There will be a huge Microsoft press release and endless news/fighting here when they hit the official "10 Million Sold" mark.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Moore used E3 to announce that they've just hit 10 Million. He has a few opportunities to make such a...
The first presentation (the Killzone unveling) is a private affair. Sony is certainly not going to broadcast it until well after the fact.
The 3 year warranty is only for 3 Red Ring errors. All other problems fall under the regular warranty.
But the good news is that Moore said they would actually be retroactively reimbursing people who have paid for a 3RROD fix/replacement. That's what surprised me.
Not sure about that 360 North American number. Morning news on tv and radio (concerning the warranty and defects issue) all stated just "over 5 million 360s sold in North America." That's to customers, not shipped/sold, because they were talking about the potentially affected customers.
That's the first time I've heard any such number tossed around on a non-gaming broadcast. Maybe all of the attention this latest issue is bringing to the popular media will bring ou...
Sorry, but I think your outrage is misdirected. That was Sony-BMG, which has nothing to do operationally with Sony, let alone Sony Computer Entertainment. Sony Corp. has a 50% investment with BMG in Sony BMG, but has no managerial say in the business. Just because some Asshat at S/BMG did something should have no reflection on your gaming or camera purchase.
If you have a hate-on for SCE because of that, you're just petty. While I have issues with the way Microsoft has done ...
In my opinion, anyone expecting a $200 price cut is, flat-out, unequivocally, a bloody fool.
Sony can't be seen as purely giving in to a price reduction. They will reduce the price, but not anywhere near the 360's price because the PS3 has to be perceived as a premium machine, a balls-out media/entertainment system.
I think Sony accepts that they can't reasonably go toe-to-toe with Microsoft on price, so they have to bite the bullet, trim a bit, and continue to ...
Calling "Already lost" for any platform at this early point is ludicrous.
You know, with some patience it is possible to make your point without hyperbole. Try it sometime.
Edit: heya deep. I think the way MS has always used "sold" it could be inferred that they meant 12 'shipped'. Sony always said "sold" for shipped, as with MS, so it's a safe bet to always assume anything less than phrases like "In Consumers' Homes" m...
That's not what he said. He qualified it with "this holiday season", or "this year" -- same with UT3. It's a PRESS conference, of course he's going to say as much as he can get away with, down to the last consonant.
I wouldn't say either game is more than a timed-exclusive just yet. If it was/they were, he would have used more definitive wording.
