Graphics don't supercede gameplay IMO, although, it is a nice addition. The Wii just needs more core games like this for me to consider buying one of my own, until then, I'll just play my cousins/nieces Wii.
I like the Infamous cover art, it gives it a hardcore UFC style feel, especially with Coles stance in the cover.
I don't think Sony needs to use the Larrabee. As others have mentioned, developers are getting used to the cell, mainly b/c it's a necessity and they have no choice. By the time the PS4 is out, there no doubt will be a better version of the cell to follow.
This was expected, albeit a ridiculous fanboy article about sales appearing equal.
@Thekiller
If your referring to FFXIII in Japan, sales are going to be 100% PS3, seeing as it's a PS3 exclusvie there.
@Kushan
If 360 doesn't have a limit for DLC, why has there never been a release of full 360 games on XBL, like Warhawk and Socom for the PSN?
Let's not kid ourselves, there is a limit with certain games as exception, even XBL only games have a limited size requirement.
We all know the PS3 can have it's harddrive freely changed without voiding the warranty, and is the only system with no true limit for DLC or full games as downloads.
@solideagle1
I agree with you on the level-5 comment, too bad MS screwed the pooch on that when they killed True Fantasy online, hence the reason we have WKC on the PS3 and a promise from L5 to never attempt to make a 360 game again, a promise they've kept so far.
@saiyanfury
I won't go so far to say Enix is the worst publisher; after all they have one of my brothers favorite game in Valkyrie Profiles (PS1 version) and one of my favorites in Radiat...
Graphics does not precede gameplay, otherwise most people would not have bought a PS2 first during the last gen. The games that I've played on my cousins Iphone are over-simplified to motion controls with no buttons for complex motions ----> Translation: It sucks and it's boring! If my relatives didn't get the games for free, I'd tell them to save their money.
I think Sony might end up buying more SE stock if they don't start putting out more multi-platform games or an actual PS3 exclusive that won't sell as miserable as the 360 rpg exclusives(I agree with KAin81).
SE can't do FF7 outright as a multiplatform seeing as Sony owns part of SE. SE might want to wait until they see Advent Children sales before deciding anything regarding a FF7 remake.
This is just going to be followed up by RE5 and FF Advent Children. Sony seems to be on a decent sales streak of late, which is a good sign for core gamers.
@soxfan2005
You know what's really amazing, the 360 hasn't reached a million units in Japan, even though it's going into it's 4th year.
Correction, the title should say Yakuza 3 is the temporary 2nd best selling PS3 title, until FFXIII and Versus's come out.
FF Dissidia does approximately 500k in it's 1st week in Japan and the psp is suddenly out of killer apps if LBP (psp) fails? What happens when Kingdom Hearts: Birth bo sleep comes out for another 400-500k week?
Forget the fact SE is planning to put out Parasite Eve: 3rd birthday on the psp, we should also forget the fact that two level-5 games, Rockband unplugged, Resistance Retribution and Assassins Creed are going to the psp. The psp would only definitely fail, if this wa...
It's nice to know SE got a bit of comeuppance for their stupidity in not releasing this multi-platform day 1. Assuming SE releases this on PS3 at a later date, I have no doubt the rpg audience will give SE sales a big middle finger as a reminder.
@Wrex
You should have taken your own advice and not taken comments out your own as#.
I'm disappointed in SO4, I'd thought it would it least stick in the top 5 for 2 weeks. SE should take note that their recent RPG's; FF crystal bearers (Wii/NDS) and SO4 just got beat by a non-rpg game. They might want to reconsider all the 360 exclusives.
I can't lend a digital download to my friends or family, hence the reason I buy dvd's and blu-rays. You can ask anyone here if they know someone outside this forum, who has legally rented or purchased a digital movie and you probably won't find much. Most people still rent at blockbuster or buy at best buy etc.
DD isn't going to be the norm anytime soon when you consider that the older generations don't know what it is to begin with, nor with the younger generation that can d...
@DJ
Digital Distribution isn't going to be the answer any time soon, especially when you take into consideration that the PS3 is the only next gen system releasing full copies of games (Socom Confrontation, Burnout paradise, Warhawk etc.) via PSN. Both the Wii and 360 (arcade) don't have full copies of their games available for download, so the DD age isn't nearly close enough as some would believe.
Servbots right IMO; Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2 did better than TOV (360), Tales of Symphonia 2 (Wii), and Tales of Heart (DS). I'd love to see a exclusive Tales game for the PS3 and see how it does for sales.
@Kushan
A hack for the PS3 could be bad for the 360 with regards hardware sales. The psp hasn't sold a great deal of software but it's sold 50 million units.
Even if the 360 sells well for software, it could do more without the piracy. Capcom isn't eactly going to shake MS's hand for sales when they have an issue with 360 piracy.
@likedamaster
The PS2 sold/sells more software because it has over 140 million pieces of hardware on th...
@Evrfighter
Blu-ray will definitely be the media standard of choice for PC's in the future. Look at PC games nowadays, that now come both in a cd and a dvd format. If your patient, those PC games will move towards blu-ray and dvd versions, as HD gaming becomes the norm. About the only thing I don't expect to change much is general application software that doesn't really need blu-ray size capacity, yet.
