@JonahFalcon
Regardless of what you say, two of SE best sellers have been on the psp, FF crisis core and FF Dissidia. Even the recently released FF Crystal Bearers for the Wii and DS got mediocre sales, both combined, were beat by Tales of Radiant Mythology 2 (psp), the best selling Tales of the current gen Tales titles.

@Death
Your comparing PS3 load times with an actual software issue for Last Remnant? If there wasn't an issue with Last Remnant, there would be no need to put it on the 360 harddrive via NXE, to eleviate the issue.
The problem with the Last Remnant obviously comes from using the Unreal Engine, a program that has/should never be used for any RPG. Assuming the issue is fixed before going to the PS3, it still wouldn't eliminate the fact the game royally sucks ball...
@XDF
I can understand the need for most companies to go multi-platform, but SE has been quite contradictory in that regard considering their own comments.
There's no reason for 360 exclusives like Infinite Undiscovery or SO4, considering:
1. 360 has less than a million units in Japan going into it's 4th year.
2. Selling on the PS3 would probably net 3x the sales just b/c they've got roughly 3 million units.
3. Japan makes a huge ...
Maybe with the recent mediocre sales of FF: Crystal bearers for the NDS/Wii, and Last Remnant for the 360, SE will start putting out more quality products, not 360 rpg trash.
I actually wouldn't mind seeing SE decline a bit, it'd give better companies like Level-5 a chance to shine in the spotlight, while hopefully, give SE a chance to reflect and refocus on the games they make.
I think the psp will do fine, it's got some really good looking titles coming to NA down the line; like FF dissidia, Resistance retribution, MLB the show 09, 2 level-5 rpgs (forgot names), parasite eve 3rd birthday, LocoRoco 2, Patapon 2, Tales of Radiant Mythology 2, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by sleep etc.
I don't expect Sony to take the crown from Nintendo for handheld systems any time soon, but I think they've done what no one expected. Sony's taken a huge chunk of the handheld...
@Foxgod
I don't see a single title in your list that's considerably innovative. You ask for Sony new IP's, yet your list doesn't have any new MS IP's of note other that Alan Wake.
Sony's got:
1. WKC (Level 5, Sony IP)
2. Quantum Theory (Tecmo)
3. EYEpet (innovative looking Sony title)
4. EYEdentity (another innovative looking Sony title)
5. Demon Soul (From Software)
6. Uncharted waters (Koei)
7. Wa...
@Giant Crab
Bioshock and Dead rising are no longer exclusive and I doubt Mass Effect is a guaranteed console exclusive either. MS can't continue buying up 3rd party exclusives either, with a growing PS3 userbase to hard to ignore. I doubt anyone would really be surprised if Mass Effect does go PS3.
@Lord Xire
Quality over quantity if you ask me. DLC being considered a new game isn't really game changing to me, since I doubt even GTA IV DLC to sell as much as the GTA copies already sold. Nothing big to crow about, I'd wait and see how the DLC does before talking about it.
Other than GTA DLC, most of the other 360 DLC just seem like add-ons, like the Tomb Raider DLC that was supposed to be in the original build of the game to begin with.

I'm actually waiting for Lord of the Rings and Star Wars on blu-ray. I'm pretty sure those 2 titles alone would move plenty of people to blu-ray.
Seeing as some fans here consider ME as a multiplatform when it's on the PC, I guess some people should STFU about console exclusives. Besides, if anyone with a PS3 wanted to play this, they could play on their PC, for free might I add.
@Foxgod
What about FFXIII or Versus, one of which will probably be out this year in Japan?
360 fans seem to think PS3 fans are insecure with regards to 360 RPG's, but, has there really been anything of note on the 360 other than Lost Odyssey?
Will the tables be turned when FFXIII and Versus is released in Japan on the PS3? Will there be much more 360 exclusive RPG's after the FF titles comes out?
SO4 isn't going to do much for ...
@Hiruma Youchi
The most/best RPG's for the entire time the 360 has been out on the market, has been on the PS2. Did you miss FFXII, Odin Sphere, Persona 3, Persona 4 FES etc.? Maybe that would explain why the 360 sold less than the PS2 in 2008.
None of the games you mentioned sold a million units in Japan, yet Sony is pretty much assured of this when FFXIII and Versus comes out to PS3 in Japan. Anyone willing to bet that the 2 FF games will wipe the floor wit...
@1.3 Kevincox
360 sold less than the PS2 in 2008, that's more of an epic failure to me. There wasn't any real noteable RPG's on the PS3 other than WKC last year either. This year they have FFXIII, possibly Versus, among other games like Yakuza 3.
There's a lot more reasons for people in Japan to get a PS3 this year than a 360. There's the FFVII advent children bundle, Yakuza 3 bundle and most certainly a FFXIII bundle along the way with whatever other bundle t...
@Halo Champian
With the exception of GTAIV and Oblivion DLC, how much other 360 exclusive DLC is available for anything other than DL? How about Fallout 3, L4D, Tomb Raiders DLC etc.?
Are you going to tell me games like Tomb Raiders (Wii, 360, PS3), GTAIV, Fallout 3 etc. sold better on 360 b/c of DLC or are you going to give me a spiel about attachment rate next? The Tomb raider DLC for instances, was apparently material intended for the game day 1. Would yo...
+1 for dustgavin, Sangria, Graphics whore
I think LBP will be like plenty of other Sony games for sales, "slow'burners", that sell well over the lifespan of the system.
I'll point out that people at the beginning were literally crapping on the sales of Uncharted, but haven't done so of late b/c it's finally picking up steam with Uncharted 2 coming later this year. I think Resistance 2 will continue to sell well as more PS3 systems are sold and customer...
The wording is still ambiguous at best, but if it does go to PS3, they could do the same thing as Dead rising and have ME1 on PSN for download. I certainly wouldn't mind playing this game on the PS3.
@Halochampian
"Oblivion: Shivering isles was counted as a game also. It was on retail at the store."
You just pointed out what I would have, Oblivion: Shivering Isles was released on a separate disc as an expansion pack. GTA IV and Fallout 3 aren't getting a separate disc. The GTA IV I can kind of see as an expansion, seeing as MS paid for it, but the Fallout 3 DLC just seems like the makers are finally finishing the game.
I agree with you swiftshot93, that is one mediocre list for the 1st half of the year for the 360. It's riddled with multi-platform games and other titles that won't be huge hits IMO. Games like SFIV and Halo Wars both have collector's editions that shouldn't be double counted as well.
I'm willing to bet Ninja Blade and OneChanbara are going to do pretty poorly Stateside. I'd pick Yakuza 3 over Ninja Blade and OneChanbara together! Why is DLC being counted as a new game? ...
So DLC counts as a new game now? You've got to be kidding!
You do realize that MS was behind in unit sales until they did the price cut, right? I think the price cut was what bumped the 360 over the PS3 in 2008. It'd be interesting to see what MS does when the PS3 gets a price cut.
