Hopefully, they are smart enough not to go down that road, for obvious reasons.
New studios are great, but what they need to really shine is creative freedom. Microsoft need to have the confidence to explore genres beyond racers and shooters, and allow innovation.
Well in 5yrs next gen consoles would be released already. Unless Microsoft only gives them 3yrs to develop and release a game for this gen.
The Last of Us 2 says "Hi." https://www.polygon.com/201...
That video is full of major plot spoilers from beginning to end. At the very least, put a spoiler warning at the start of your video.
I have to also agree with NecrumOddBoy,
I played through the demo multiple time to try and unlock all the endings. You do get very different endings, if you do different things. The video is factually incorrect on this point.
Just ignore him, the dude isn't here to talk about single player games, as much as to troll a God of War thread.
Don't feed the trolls and they'll eventually go away.
@maybelovehate
Wow, I'm so sorry for your butt-hurt.
Psyche! I'm loving it!
Now gtfo back to your cave, troll!
Amen to that. I've put a lot of hours into God of War post credits; it has a ton of replay value if you want to complete and find everything. I can't remember the last game that I've longed for (single player) DLC so much, and that's a testament to Cory and the God of War team.
Is it just me or is this pointless. Comparing the PS4 to the Wii. Seriously?
Forgive me for pointing out the obvious here, but - wouldn't it make more sense to compare the PS4 to the PS2? Or better yet to compare the Switch to the Wii? This just seems arbitrary and unnecessary.
Man, I feel as if I just wasted 3 minutes of my life...
It's going to be a heavyweight throw down of AAA games. Microsoft are going to have to come out swinging hard. You'll get cinematics and reveals for the usual triple threat (Halo, Gears, Forza). We're probably going to see game play of Crackdown (lets see if they mention "the cloud"); they'll also probably have some big third parties in their corner as well - probably gameplay of Anthem and Cyberpunk will debut on the Microsoft stage. Microsoft have to go all in on ...
Yes.Yes, they are.
Next question.
Manhunt. Definitely Manhunt. That game was a cult classic.
Unfortunately, if Rockstar released Manhunt with today's graphics technology it would be the equivalent of a snuff movie, an the media hate would bury the game. Heck I can't remember how many countries it was banned in. I know Manhunt 2 got banned in so many countries Rockstar had to censor the game to the point it became something else. But yeah I would love a remake of Manhunt.

The future is now. Sony has a much deeper foundation for a future proof infrastructure when it comes to AA games. With less power, they have achieved more than anything the X1 has been able to achieve this gen. how long do you think it takes to cultivate the type of exclusives that Sony has been releaseing - how long was Horizon in development, or God of War? Of Days Gone? Or Ghost of Tsushima? Not to mention TLOU2? These are games that take 4-5 years to develop.

Dude you speak too much truth.
When you've sold approximately 80 million consoles in record time, it proves you don;t need to release a new console yet. Microsoft have sold half that number (we think). Whatever the number is, Microsoft think it's so bad that they refuse to release number for it. Sony has won the hardware, it is Sony that has set the foundation for the future not Microsoft. Microsoft bet it's money on Power, unfortunately for them, that is not what is important to 80 million games out there. The...
Don't be so ignorant to overlook the fact that the sharholders will be provided with the console sales numbers. It just is no longer made public. In the same way that what is discussed in shareholder meetings is private. They have the full right to know if the product they are investing in is selling, and by how many units per day. This is directly tied into their profit margins.
You've started with a massive assumption - that interactive games don't interest casual gamers. What are you basing this assumed assertion on? Nevermind the fact that the phrase "interactive game" is a complete misnomer. If a game is not interactive then technically speaking, it is not a game. All games are interactive by design.
Then, there's the problem with your definition of a casual gamer, "a person who takes a passing interest in a game.. th...
I don't think Rockstar have ever been at E3. They are literally too big for E3.
That sounds awesome. I'm really hyped for this game. I thought they moved away from calling the enemies 'infected', and are calling them the horde? Just hoping the game can distinguish itself enough from The Last of Us. In any case, whatever they're called, I'm stokd.
