Now this is a really hard one to call. I've had this debate between The Witcher 3 and God of War, and honestly it's a very close call. The Witcher 3 for sure provided much more content (and that's without including the expansions). It also provided narrative choice, fully fleshed out characters, and a lived in open world. I actually loved the combat in the Witcher 3, but what I feel brings it down a notch was just the level of bugs in the game, the overabundance of items to the po...
Your comment is completely flawed and doesn't hold any water at all. Let me show you...
"Sony doesn't have to worry about generations anymore because their consoles are iterative now. When the next Playstation releases, Sony will already have an install base for "next gen" that's as big as PS4Pro sales because that PS4pro will become the base model for the new console."
See what I did there, your comment actually makes more...
I know right. No doubt they'll use the extra year to fine tune a polish the game. I looks like a gem in the making.
That was absolutely brilliant. But yeah, it's got heavy spoliers throughout.
I can't beleive I'm saying this, but I really hope they announce story DLC for this game. Just take one or two notes from CDProjekt Red on how to do excellent story DLC.
What does "squeaky bum time" even mean? Is that supposed to be a good thing or a bad thing?
Call me a pessimist, but I don't think there is much Microsoft can do to turn this gen around. The lead is just too great to catch up this gen. Once Sony announces a PS4 price cut, it'll be over for Microsoft. That'll be the final nail in the xbox coffin.
What about Red Dead 2 timed exclusive? Actually, I read somewhere that Sony had a deal for timed Red Dead 2 content on PS4.
Edit: found it @2:10 in the trailer https://www.youtube.com/wat...
So Microsoft missed that boat as well.
^^that made me lol
Come to think of it actually, I can't remember the last time a Microsoft exclusive was nominated or won GOTY.
I'm happy to be corrected though.
Yeah, those console launch exclusives didn't work for them.
2 weeks and counting.
I'm pretty sure Sony will announce new games, as they said in the blog, they've still got their second and third party studios working on unannounced games. Granted they might be indie or VR games, but at least they'll be new.
Unless Microsoft have new exclusives in the bag - which they might, but I doubt it- then they will come out with a lot of spin, alot of promises, and lot PR. No doubt we'll hear about "engagement" with the Xbox ecosystem, backwards compatibility and their "play anywhere" program. But unless they bring out heavy hitting games - apart form the usual staple (Halo, Forza and Gears), then Sony will steal the thunder because they will be bringing new IP's to the table.
Exactly this ^^^
According to my steam account, across the three Witcher games I have put in over 500 hours. I probably put in well over 100 hours into Skyrim, and much more between the Dark Souls games and Bloodborne. The length of single player games has become a strawman argument. It would be akin to saying something like, "most people never unlock everything in multiplayer games, so lets reduce the content we put in multiplayer games."
I al...
I wonder if Sony will every be able to top their God of War reveal at E3 2016. That was definitely one of their most epic moments. But yeah, they're bringing out their heavy hitters this year, hopefully we'll see gameplay and not just cinematics.
It's about time. How many games has this guys talent elevated. His performance as David in TLOU is by far on of his bet performances. It goes without saying that without Nolan North, it would be a very different Nathan Drake.
It's good to also see Amy Hennig being recognised as well. It's a shame that she hasn't quite landed on her feet, but hopefully this will give her some much needed recognition.
The issue here seems to be that HR found in favour of the defendant, but the claimant is still not satisfied and wants some kind of reparation. So he goes public to name and shame; that's not the right way either, adn you;r right that legal proceedings wold be the way to go. Unfortunately I know from personal experience that the cost of pursuing a claim - especially against a company like Naughty Dog, let alone Sony would cost hundreds if not millions. It's just not feasible for alot ...
Here's the thing right. from Naughty Dogs previous statement regarding this issue, I believe their HR investigated and found no basis. Unfortunately it seems that guy is still not satisfied and wants vindication, therefore he goes public with names. My issues is, when a company has investigated and found in favour of teh defendant, is it still appropriate for the claimant to then go public and shame a guy that has been found innocent?
That doesn't really sit well w...
Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but your comment is highly inappropriate. Sexual harassment is wrong, regardless of the gender of the victim. This is a big deal, because it involves people, and high profile companies, and properties. This has nothing to do with SJW, no one should be sexually harassed at their place of work.
Now that people have been specifically named, I imagine both Naughty Dog and Sony will need to respond. It is unacceptable for sexual misconduct to be condoned, or seen to be condoned in such high profile companies.
However a word of caution - I have known many situations where companies have followed due process and have found in favour of the defendant. However it doesn't automatically mean that the victim is therefore satisfied with the findings. The fact that the v...
God of war is definitely a fantastic game on all levels; but I wouldn't call the gameplay in The Witcher 3 mediocre at all. Many people just button mash an call the combat shallow. The combat in the Witcher 3 was very nuanced if you wanted to use all the systems. It's the same with God of war, you can button mash if you want, but it doesn't mean there isn't a deep combat system there to be made use of.
