As soon as Sony announces a price drop it's game over.
A price cut at this stage would be a massive boost for Sony. They've won the generation already, and they keep increasing that lead. Sony doesn't even have to show up at E3, and it would impact them.
You know right! But unfortunately it is only to be expected that some no name website looking for clicks will give the game a 4/10 just to be controversial. But it would be fantastic if it managed to get to 96 though.
Lol! I have to try that one :)
I've finally made the decision to take Friday off. But I just need a really good excuse apart from, "...but God of War!" ;P
You clearly didn't read the article. God of War has been approved for sale - which means UAE retailers are allowed to stock and sell the game - without controversy regarding the religious connotation of previous God of War titles that have been banned in UAE and Saudi Arabia because of their content. The article has nothing to do with street date being broken, and is not suggesting that it has... not yet anyway.
Dude don't freak me out like that! :D
How much do you want to bet that it'll be like a mix of Destiny and Mass Effect?
Unfortunately for MS, Sony have a lot more exclusives to release before this gen is over.
Not only that but they list Hellblade, Nier, and SF5 (which arguably are not exclusive, as they are also on PC) but they don't list TLOU - which is the highest rated PS4 exclusive game. smh.
So many games releasing that are not God of War. I don't even know what to play to tide me over until it release, everything just doesn't really hold my interest right now.
Place your bets, what review score will EDGE give God of War? higher of lower than an 8.5?
I imagine once the game releases were going to see alot more of these 10/10 reviews. I can't wait to get my hands on it.
If it was a new IP it would have at least avoided the shadow of the whole Konami/Kojima/MGS5 fiasco.
PS4 has a few 'crown jewels' already. It's to Sony's credit that their PS4 'crown" is just so jewel encrusted, that it makes the queen of England jealous. :D
Seriously though, God of War is just another excellent addition to the long line of AAA system sellers in the PS4 portfolio.
At this point why would you not get a PS4?
Crackdown will have heavy multiplayer focus, and therefore not really comparable to GOW. However, given it's development timeline, I'm willing to bet that it would have been greatly influenced by the major shooters like, Destiny, PUBG and maybe even Fortnight. If it cannot find it's own unique identity and tries to emulate the style or success of these games, then it is more likely to fail. Crackdown really has do be innovative and offer something fresh and unique to the scene for...
If we don't get a playable demo of Crackdown at this years E3, then you know it's in trouble. I'm not talking, gameplay trailer either - playable demo or else it's in real trouble.
I think it would be very short sighted of MS to put its eggs into just one (or two) gaming baskets. God of Wars' critical success is because of a number of factors, such as creative freedom, long established first party studio, strong single player story driven ethos, etc etc. Sony laid those foundations and steadily built on them from last gen.
It's really no longer about a "killer app", but is now much more about a killer portfolio of AAA high quality ga...
Naa, they won't be a PS5 announcement until at least 2020, Sony is not going to divert its momentum any time soon.
