Imagine if you won a sports competition >insert favourite sport<, and the prize was the number 654!
Imagine if you won a sports competition >insert favourite sport<, and the prize was a platinum trophy!
Which would you prefer? Imagine if FIFA just gave the world cup champions a ticket with a random number on it. LOL.
On topic Trophies (and achievments actually) do add longevity to games, and give those gamers that are incli...
PS3 has sooo many great exclusive coming out in the next year, I'll be really surprised how many PS3 owners (who are not die hard Metal Gear fans) will have this on their radar.
The 360 owners can celebrate the MGS hand me downs that Kojima allows them to have.
Yes most multiplatform games are better on the 360, I'll give you that. BUT you know that it's because they are dumbed down for the 360 right?! Don't believe me - look at the outcry about FFXIII that is still doing the rounds because it got gimped for the 360.
Muliplatform games have become second rate, they don't innovate nor push the industry, they are developed for the lowest common console denominator, and no prizes for guessing which platform that is!!!...
my kids have got a cat already (admittedly she's not a baby tiger), I'm not going to pay 150 bucks for a virtual one!
myself included. I initially passed on infamous as I found it too repetitive. However when I played it again as Evil Cole to get the platinum (one damned blast shard stands between me and that coveted platinum trophy), I loved it. I never played prototype so I can't really comment, BUT I agree that competition breeds excellence so bring it on.
p.s. I think the fact the Infamous 2 is competing with uncharted 2 is great, if Sucker Punch can pull it off, Infamous 2 will ex...
Can remember the last time I waited inline for a new game (pre-owned games If there's a queue), I just pre-order the game and have it delivered - usually a day early.
Move is not a game, But If I could not pre-order (which I have already done), I would wait in line for it!
*Edit - I would wait in line for KZ3 (IF I could not pre-order it - whicfh I can anyway - so mute point I guess)
For a 3D camera, you'd think they would push 3D games. MS have generally been averse to the whole 3D phenomenon, rightly or wrongly (maybe they know something about the 360 that we don't *wink *wink). In any case the more information that comes out for Kinect it becomes apparent that it is just a glorifired camera . 150 buck to navigate the xmb... why not I've money to throw away /s.
Ok I'm glad to see I'mnot the only one who thinks 'addicting' is used wrongly. The correct word should be addictive! yes i know 'addicting' has crept into the dictionary somehow, but addictive, addicted, addict should be used inplace of 'addicting' - I understant it's suppose to be a present continuous tense, but it just sounds wrong every time, most probably because grammatically it is used wrongly (again probably because it is a completely made up word)! ...
The fact is a lot of ppl have their 360's in bedrooms, spare lounge's etc and not in the living room. With relatively small TV's (26" - 36") in the bedroom, you can play a 360 game sitting on the bed / lounge and only need to be 3 - 4 ft away to have a good viewing angle. For those gamers who have their 360's in their bedrooms etc (unless they have big spacious bedrooms), finding 6ft for kinect will be a major problem. Same with those who live in small apartments et...
so basically it's best to wait until 2012 to get kinect o.0 sounds like fail to me! And by 'hardcore' Iguess they mean Halo or GeOW type games. Will be interesting to see how FPS and TPS games which require about 8 different buttons for corresponding actions, will be implemented with kinect!
I hear the PC gamers saying that an RTS game does not belong on consoles. This historically is due to the control scheme whereby a controller has too much input lag when compared to a mouse, and is genrally not as accurate and responsive.
However, enter the PS Move - which offers the same level (if not more) of responsivity and accuracy as does the mouse.
So the argument that RTS games do not belong on consoles hopefully will be obsolete with the the use...
The article states "Somewhere in mid September, a new patch for Resident Evil 5 will pushed into everyone’s console to enable the PlayStation Move support."
Does this mean the the Move update is for the standard edition of RE5 as well. The article also implies that the RE5 Gold edition is going to get a Move bundle deal.
Here's hoping that the update will also be for the standard RE5 edition.
OMG
Well that blew me away. I like the new 'reapers?' and the comic book super hero vibe. Definately on my radar now.
Apart from releasing at the same time as Red Dead, the other thing is that Alan Wake is not a FPS. I bet it would have sold more on PS3. Heavy Rain (which is somewhat comparable to Alan Wake) haas sold over a million copies. Maybe Remedy should release it on the PS3 with Move support, I bet that will get it to the million seller mark.
I loved Silent Hill 2, as far as I'm concerned it was the benchmark of the series (i've played 1, 2, 3, 4). But I have to say I'm not excited for another silent hill game. Is it not time they took the series in a new direction, and did something fresh with the series. I don't know, a silent hil shooter ala Resident Evil 4 / 5? Or more of a Heavy Rain style control scheme with branching story lines. Anything to reguvinate the series.
Sony definately has found it's momentum this year in terms of it's software line-up. A far cry from the "no software for the PS3" we used to hear a few years ago.
OK The Force Unleashed had a few major problems, but apart from the glitches, the lack of a 'lock on feature', the inability to block some attacks etc etc, by far the most curious feature was light sabre, which is supposed to be a hyperbeam which can cut through Anything. However in the game it only cuts through small metal cans and boxes -WTF. I want to be able to sever limbs and cut stormtroopers in half.
Sony will probably release the HD remakes shortly before/after the release of TLG. Maximise sales and also the possibility of a trilogy set just like GOW.
Here's hoping for PS Move support, would make it worth buying.
ahhahhahhahahhaaahhahahaha... hahaha
you had me in stitches for ages.
I think I did a little pee. Bubbles up my friend!
