Dude, you're doing exactly what Microsoft did at E3!
Your letter has been sent to the wrong address. 'Casual' gamer does not live here!

Microsoft's strategy overall this gen has been very short sighted.

From the original xbox getting canned early, the acquiring of Sony exclusives - as opposed to investing in their own 1st party studios; and now their short sighted strategy of cashing in on the wii market (short sighted because it is the hardcore install base, and the games that the core gamers play that would have ensured Kinects longevity beyond Christmas).

The fact is this strategy...

RUSE is definately on my radar, I played the free trial on the PC and I liked it. I hear what ppl are saying about teh game lacking depth, but when you're only given one level to play, it does get stale quickly. hopefully the full game is more rewarding. Hopefully the impement Move well.

Hopefully Sucker Punch reveal whats going on with Cole, the new one or the old one? Doesn't really bother me, I dont know what all the hooplha was about - just hope the game is up there with UC2.

I'm actually really looking forward to this games. It's this sort of innovation that the gaming industry needs. Mind you, I haven't seen any hands-on reports or gameplay vids or anything like that, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

I actually enjoyed the article. I get what he's trying to say. The stereotypical hardcore gamer frowns upon kinect and assumes there is no 'fun' for them to be had with Kinect. however if you are willing to accept what kinect is, and what it is not. Then there is fun to be had I guess.

It is this last element that Microsoft are banking on with the casual market! They'll advertise the fun factor and thats it. As far as Microsoft is concerned, the hardcore gam...

I'm actually looking forward to some decent light gun games. Hopefully timecrisis will live up to expectations, it's already a superb bundle deal imo.

My money's on REsistance 3. It's been too quiet on the resistance front. Mind you iof you've been following Dylan jobe's tweets, it's probably Starhawk which would be cool!.

When I decide to invest in a new piece of Tech, I want to known that in a years time I will be getting a return on my investment. At the moment for me, there is nothing on the horizon that warrants an investment in Kinect. When Microsoft start blowing my mind with brand new games, with never before seen gameplay mechanics that I cannot get anywhere else... then sir, I will invest in Kinetc. Heck, if Kinect can match Sony's stellar line up of upcoming Move games for the next quarter, then ...

I'm glad Sorcery will be there. I think this was the one single game of Sony's E3 conference that really piqued my interest to know more. Hopefully they make it a compelling RPG which showcases teh diversity of Move.

Anyone notice how only two games on the list (Infamous 2 & DCOU) have not been rumored to have move support. I think Sony will be focusing much more on Move and trying to really push it seeing as the conference is only a month before Move officially...

..."but if we're to see more applications of the device"

The fact is week after week, we are seeing tech demos of Move and each new video released demonstrates in real time the increasing possibilities of the tech.

The tech demos showed do exactly what your are suggesting - they very easily inspire the imagination with what sort of games would be possible. FPS, TPS, RTS, survival horror, cameleon, shoryoken etc etc. Watching the Move tech de...

Soda - would you ever use sixaxis type controls for a FPS? Would anyone? So what exactly is the point?

Seems like a needless waste of time tbh.

Again Kinect shows nothing at all 'revolutionary' that is added to gameplay.

Have we not seen games controlled with the SIXAXIS better than this, last Gen? Did it ever really catch on? - No. How many FPS control better with sixaxis type controls - none.

SO why exactly is this video relevant to anything apart from how Kinect Fails to do what it is being advertised for i.e. controllerless gamimg?

Frankly, the dev shouldn't bo...

Is it not time that we acknowledge that we all have different tastes? Or is it that we haven't turned 13 yet? Never mind the legitimacy of comparing a FPS with a TPS, two games with different play styles etc etc.

Is no one just excited that talented developeers are releasing high quality games that we get to play. The Thing about Killzone 3 above an beyond whether or not it will be better than marmite is that Guerilla Games is innovating by including 3D And Motion suppo...

Here's the real question, as an avid gamer yourself, which of the two motion control options adds versatility to the games that you have come to know and love, the first person shooters, the third person survival horror games, the real time strategy games etc. Which one offers a wider range or gameplay possibilities for developers to create more even more creative games? Which one will be limited by the same constraints of last gen tech?

By calling out "sales sales...

Reading through this thread and similar others, the counter arguments for Kinect are becoming less and less. I guess even the 360 fanboys are begining to agree that, though they may buy Kinect out of loyalty to the brand, in terms of gameplay possibilities and versatility - Move wins hands down!

Am I the only one hoping they patch Move support to Siren:Blood Curse? I think ima go post that suggestion on the PS Blog...

Anyhow, with Sony's line up of games coming out, I'm sure they'll have survival horror covered (RE5 doesn't count sony!).

I'd love to try Heavy Rain with the Move. Thank God Sony are not pulling a Capcom and forcing us to buy a new copy of the game just to try it out.

I was gutted to find that a 3d tech demo made me feel really sick. I hope it was the angle I was standing, and not that I can't play 3D games. :(

5804d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

I understand that it would cost Capcom to develop a patch for RE5, and they would not recoup this cost by offering Move support as a free update for exisitng copies of the standard RE edition. But patching it only in the Gold edition is NOT the way to go, especially after people have bought the downloads anyway.

Companies must think gamers are gullible money trees just looking to throw money away. Who's goign to buy the game twice just to play it with Move. Only if I c...
