I think developers, and therefore gamers, will get alot more out of Move than they will for Kinect. It's evidently easier to implement in games, and is more intuitive for wider range of new and existing games. Developer support makes or breaks a system - just as SEGA why the Dreamcast failed...

I think I prefer the remote controlled RC-XD to the Night Vision gogles of MW2. Might consider actually getting this one!

Seriously though, who cares for CG trailers, have devs not learned anything from the whole Killzone 2 debacle. Once you release a gameplay trailer, 99% of the time your game will look weak and rigid up against it!

But anyways I haven't yet played a LOTR game that could compete with the top tier RPG libraries. They should stop bastardising the licence if they can't capitalise on it.

But I guess that's the point, to capitalise on the licene with...

You know I had to watch that trailer again after reading your comment, because all through it I though it WAS a woman I was looking at!

Don't fall for it folks, I mean c'mon...

an analyst....
at an investor meeting...

WTF did you expect him to say? He was posing a sales pitch to his investors!!!

Don't all be moronic blind fanboys for goodness sakes.

Take this quote as an example - "“We note that Sony’s Move launches in North America on September 19th, and although lacking some of the retail “buzz” vs Kinect, Move should provi...

How is it that Virtual Air Guitar release a camera based game, that looks more fun using just a 2D camera, than anything M$ is showing off with their 3D camera!? C'mon M$ these are the sort of games that would get your fanbase raving about your tech... not some on-rails Star Wars nonsense!

Sony were quick to put their logo all over Kung-Fu Live (even though I think it's still multiplatform), and pull the "you are the controller" rug from under M$'s fee...

Reminds me of SSX - which is still the best snowboarding game bar none! EA should move in this direction and make games like SSX for Kinect. I don't know how you'd do the full range of stunts with just body movements, but at least it would be a start (and also a great work out apparently).

There's no reason why the games for Kinect have to all be kiddy party games!

Trying to get my Dead Space platinum, but damn how d I upgrade ALL my equipment? I has the Tank download and am using it to play the game on hard. Do I have to upgrade all the Tank weapons + the standard weapons?

I would not pay a subscription to play online unless the game is a really really good MMO (Eve-online = happy days)! And even then, I'd play for a coupe months and then canel my sub anyway!

The beauty of capitalism is the the power actually lies with the consumer. If the consumer says 'no', your product won't get off the ground!

I guess gamers are not your typical consumers eh!

Another shooter for spring 2011, how many are we upto now?

Anyways I'm liking the look of Brink, seems fresh and original (if that can be said for an FPS)?!

I sooo wanted to really love the first game, but it was just too broken. Major gripe was the inability to lock-on to enemies when using force powers. It' good to see that this has been fixed for teh sequel. I'm definately picking this one up!

hmmm.. migh hunt down a cheap copy of the Sith Edition of the first game!

Well the gaming media don't seem to be getting along well with Kinect at the moment. I'm tempted to say "wait and see" - since M$ claim that in 18 months they will begin to release hardcore titles for Kinect.

But I'm reminded that in 18 months time Sony will be releasing its 2nd generation line up of Move titles! (the current launch line-up being the 1st generation of Move titles)

M$ better hurry up and find that missing 'potenti...

Seriously though, if Molyneux makes Black and White 3 with full Kinect functionality it would be awesome! Heck I think even some of the old Bullfrog games like Populous and Magic Carpet would work really well with Kinect. I'm sure Molyneux has the capacity to pull it off.

Hopefully M$ don't stifle it all by forcing developers to focus on casual titles because they think they'll make a quick buck! It will be innovative titles like the ones I mentioned above (if ...

Hopefully M$ send some quality unseen games for the Kinect Beta testers to try out. I'm not too keen on a beta for Ricochet or skittles tbh, maybe Dance Revolution though! I hope they'll be testing out the online capabilities (multiplayer!?) of the tech, and demonstrating that it does more than just casual games and menu navigation.

I guess M$ have seen the success of Sony allowing gamers to have real hands on time with their motion tech. I'm sure the resultant ...

Dude the loading times don't break the game, and inconvenience, but not game breaking. Don't miss out on a fantastic title just because you have to wait 40 seconds for the race to load.

Jeeze... what speed do you walk these days.

How many games have Ninja Theory made exaclty? In any case it's about time they stopped hyping Enslaved, because there just setting themselves up as bait for the fanboys and reviewers... especially with all the scorn they've recently been pouring on Heavenly Sword, which was a classic game. That's not to say Enslaved won't be a good game, but too much hype, too much exposure and the gaming public become jaded before the game is even released!

When will devel...

The first problem is that M$ have, and continue to champion the "no controller requried - you are the controller" mantra. So to suggest to M$ that a controller is essentially required, goes against the ethos of what Kinect is about!

We can therefore rightly make the assumotion that M$ wants developers to develop games Without a controller in mind! Ergo a massive limitation in the types of games that can/will be developed.

Your idea of a controll...

The problem with blind fanboyism is that when a company produces a piece of tech that works as advertised, that is functional, that is intuitive and easy to implement by developers, that is cost effective etc - you stand against it - just because your pride is hurt (butt hurt I think they call it!).

On the other hand you have another peice of tech which does not work as advertised, is less functional with too many constraints and limiters, is harder to implement by develop...

Again Sony demostrate that they're not afraid to let gamers and the press publicly play around with the Move prior to it's release. They know it works well, and performs as it's designed to. Events like the Beta Rooms, and the House Party stuff have generated more positive previews and word of mouth for Move. From all the tech demo's and hands-on vids that I have seen, I'm pretty conviced at this point that Move is more than just a "gimmick", and it "has the...
