I can imagine the spactacle after a drunken night on the town, "back to mine for some Kung Fu live"...
Sony should try and keep it exclusive (although M$ has prolly already got there first and laid down some huge dollars for the thing to be on 360), because for all the 3D camera and recognition technology of Kinect, Kung Fu live demo'd a game and the technology for that matter better on a 2D camera (PSEye), than anything else M$ demo'd with Kinect.
I can't see how they'll implement Kinect in MG:R, what your hand becomes the sword.. meh. The Move controller seems more intuitive off the bat, it just won't be the same without the force feedback, and an actual katana (Move controller) in your hand.
MoH it not gonne be able to compete with MW/MW2, especially with Black Ops coming out within a similar release window. The reviewers will tear it apart for anything at all that resembles the MW series, and despite the Tier 1 operatives and the fact it's set in Afganistan, I honestly can't see anything new that MoH will bring to the shooter table. (at least it's not set in WWII aye!)
I have to admit I skipped Motorstorm 2, but with the introduction of charatcers in Motorstorm 3, and character progression, along with the crazies and enforcement running around shooting you, while huge earthquakes tear up the environment, and... and... and it's all in 3D!!!
Can anyone say 'day one purchase'?!
Microsoft can't say squat to Kojima about MG:R, it's third party multiplatform IP. The most they can say is that they want the same quality on their console as on the PS3. If Kojima productions want to release MG:R Move version, or add a patch for the PS3 to support Move functionality, that deal is between them and Sony, and will have nothing to do with Micro$soft.
Knowing Kojima, he can probably implement Move for MG:R, but won't so that Kojima Productions can re-release Metal Gear Rising Move. Getting Joe gamer to buy the game twice (when they could obviously just make a patch to support move, but won't).
If they can support the Move mechanics with a stellar story, and have the right ingredients in terms of animation, graphics and gameplay. This could be another AAA IP for Sony. Hopefully they don't focus all on the Move mechanics and forget story/gameplay/graphics etc etc, which is a trap I can see devs falling into. Afterall this is not the Wii, it's the beast that is the PS3 ad this thing is a powerhouse right? right???
Was a shame that it was a launch title and got pretty poor sales. Hopefully if they patch it with Move add bones features, they might be able to repackage it and get some more mileage out of it. Was criminally underrated.
Now that's a good deal. I won't rush to sign up just yet, but the possibility of beign in a Killzone Beta, Medal of Honour Beta, maybe SOCOM4 beta is getting me really excited.
How much were you smoking dude????? Those 3D Bravia's cost a fair few packs of cigs (assuming that is what you were smoking).
...and ultimately won E3 for Sony.
It' usually PS3 devs coming out to proclaim their new sleeping arrangements with Microsoft. It's good to see a predominantly PC/Xbox dev proclaiming love for the PS3! And coming from Gabe Newell himself, priceless!
Good to see he came to his senses in the end...
I'm surprised Jack Tretton did not feed him cake on stage. That would have been too awesome...
I'm just glad Sony did not forget the hardcore gamers. Heck they've even got game like Sorcery which appeals to both the hardcore and the casual gamer! I can see Move has the advantage here.
I already have a Playstation Eye, and I would have liked a bundle that catered for those of us who already forked out for the PSEye. For example, the Move controller bundled with the Subcontroller. As it stands noe I have to buy both separaetly.
I will anyways, here's hoping that by Christmas Sony release more bundles.
I agree that the pricing structure of the move is in line with Sony's other accessories, and is 'cheap' enough for the casual gamer to invest in. (I certainly will).
However I would have preferred a further bundle which included the Move motion controller, as well as the sub controller for about £59.99 - £69.99. I already have the playstation eye, but will need the other controllers.
I'm sure Games that will need this setup will be like SOC...
All Microsoft did was an EPIC FAIL.
Gabe Newell at Sony's E3 conference o.0
Nobody saw that coming!
Jack T should have fed him cake!
I'm hoping for a fuller trailer at E3, one with those gravel voice overs about how the ISA on Helgan are now screwed over!!!
I hope the rumours are true of Move integration with Dead Space 2. That would be awesome and make the game more immersive than the first.
The most impressive demo for Move that I saw saw the Sorcery game. Seems like a no brainer that it will add RPG elements (given that you learn spells and will probably aquire progressively better spells and potions as the game progresses). If Sony are able to flesh it out a give it a 'Harry Potter meets Zelda' vibe I think Sony will have a killer app for the casuals.
Move will grow long legs when franchises like Star Wars, Rachet and Clank, God of War start using the ...
