make a console version, I haven't upgraded my pc since 2004. I barely runs IE :(
I was not going to get Black Ops! I was going to demonstratre my protest by getting Medal of Honour instead. However after the lacklustre Reviews, I decided to rent the game first... just to see. Anyway it was a solid experience, albeit an unforgivably short one, but definately not an experience worth 60 bucks.
It just didn't fully satisfy my blockbuster FPS itch, and was more like a quick snack. In any case, it fueled my appetite for a big blockbuster FPS, whcih Black...
I really enjoyed the SP campaign, there was soo much bad press, I was expecting it to bomb really bad. But tbh, it's actually quite a good experience. It does start of too slowly, and I get what they are trying to do with the 'authenticity'!
It was way way too short though, and the way they ended it you can tell that the second half of the game has been parcelled up into DLC bundles.
The thing about retro games is mainly the nostalgia that we attach to those titles. but since those days alot has changed in the gaming world - there's no way recapture the sense of awesome wonder I got when playing MGS for the first time, the gameplay, production values, the criptic plot, Psycho Mantis!!! The whole package was unlike anything I had ever seen before in a game!
You can't really ever recapture that feeling anymore. Games have moved on, things that wer...
First it was Dante's Inferno ripping off God of War, and now Medal of Honour ripping off Modern Warfare. I guess not too many bright ideas left at EA?!
I'm loving Dragon Age at the moment, it is a bit rough around the edges - but once you get into it it's a pretty good game. If Bioware can sort out all the nigles, and overhaul the combat, then I'm definately in for Dragon Age 2.
but my point still remains though... Sony have obviously put development time and money in this cross-platform chat (as you call it), but the fact remains that cross game chat native to the PS3 is still not implemented - and no one really knows why?!?
But where's the cross game chat for PS3 to PS3, eh Sony? We've only been waiting what... like 4 years?!
The Move controls are still being balanced, and the current set up gives the DS3 player more advantage. GG could easily take that advantage away by simple tweeks.
The game is stil in development and still has 4 months of tweaking and polishing. Wait for the final product before you start getting you knickers in a twist!
Edit - ^^what ngecenk said
360RRODFIX - dude try it before you bash it! I'm just saying it might actually be good and enhance the gameply.
Old school gamig fun. I think this and Dreamfall are available on a bundle offer from Steam.
Hopefully the Killzone devs will have their eye on MAG and how the move has been implemented there. While I still think it should be used more like a mouse with a fixed cursor, I like the fact that MAG gives you tonnes of option to tweack the controls as you see fit. Shame the Killzone3 Beta doesn't allow Move controls, it would have been a good opportunity for Guerrila Games to get solid player feedback on the Move controls.
"... which device I think will provide a superior gaming experience."
My sentiments exactly, and I think it is obvious which peripheral offers a better and enhanced gaming experience, without dumbing it down just to cater to casual gamers!
someone at Tecmo-Koei is going to be an very unhappy bunny!
I'm liking iWaggle more and more, there reviews and analysis is always very indepth, informative and without any fanboy crap!
I have been in two minds about getting MAG since it's release, but after this analysis I will definately be picking it up, especially as I can get it in the UK 17.99. Im ight just also pick up one of thos gun controllers to enhance the experience!
...seeing as PS3 tech can do 3D better than the 360 due to the better HDMI bandwith. Plus as the article states, they get to sell more 3DTV's and puch through the 3D tech.
I guess M$ finally learnt somehting from the BluRay vs HD-DVD war!!!
THey could just implement it like how a mouse works on PC FPSs, or simply leave the gun in the centre of the sreen and the Move pointer simply controls the field of view (i.e the camera), as opposed to controlling the crosshair (gun)!
I know, I knoe, I need to get my head examined!!! But the fact is that Devs have to implement the Move into games properly and originally, instead of simply copyng Wii implementations. Even though the Move controller can do more than than the Wii mote, devs are short changing the Move's implementation.
Everyone one the Killzone forums complain about the current implementation of Move in Killzone 3, where the crosshair (gun) is a floating reticule. It would be better imple...
...and absolutely loved it. Started a second play through just to make different choices. Holding out on playing ME 2 on PC so I can play it on mu 40" HDTV on the PS3 as opposed to my 19" laptop!!! I'm guessing the 'Introductory Module' will basically e interactive cut scenes of the major decisions in ME + updted codex on all the other goings on.
Regardless of the quality of either title, Black Ops will completely dominate the FPS space for the foreseable future, it's inevitable. We might as well not try to fight it and just go along for the ride!
