COD might beat BF3 in sales, but you cannot say it will be a better game than BF3.

Seriously though, MW3 does not stand a chance gameplay wise. This is what will happen IMO... the BF3 hypetrain + word of mouth + 2 weeks release advantage = alot more than just 20% of COD's market share.
The inevitable media hype will compare the two, the winner in terms of gameplay and quality will be BF3 hands down!
Forget sales numbers dude. NOBODY buys a game simply because of sales numbers, if that's the case you must own a copy of Nintendogs!!!
Don't you buy and play games because you want the most uber gaming experience, not just arcade shlock.
BF3 is that uber experience... just embrace it and forget all others :)

I completely agree, the current consoles still have another 2 yeras at least left in them (well the PS3 does anyway). I know games like Battlefield 3, Rage and Skyrim etc run much better on PC and have better graphics, but it does not mean the console versions are gimped. I would'nt get a new console if they launched in 2012 either.

Same here, got invited to the Alpha but I've got a 3 yr old laptop?! Needless to say I'm getign this on my PS3.
I've read all 3 published boks in the series, and i have to say that I was more than impressed. I was expecting shoddy and shallow writing, but to my surprise the characters were well rounded, and the story in each of the books gave added perspective to the clore and canon of the game. I'd highly recommend a read.

I'm buying BF3 but renting MW3. 5 days with MW3, and I'll never play it again, same with MW2! Played BFBC2 and have not looked back since!

'Better' is a matter of personal preference. For me, COD no longer offers anything innovative. I played through COD4, MW2 and BL:OPS. I am yet to see anything about MW3 that I have not seen in the previous games.
BF3 on the other hand is innovating on all fronts. It boils down to this... BF3 -> PreOrdered. MW ->Rental.
