"wait and see", "future potential", blah, blah blah
M$ want to milk the casual gamer, they don't care about innovation or creative gameplay. It's all marketing BS, and at this point only the blind fanboys refuse to see it!!!
I think MOH may have a chance, mainly because they've got a clear release window with no other major shooters for a month or so. I'm willing to give it a rental at least. I have to say - after the multiplayer reveal of Black ops, with wager matches, one in the barrell, sticks and stones etc etc, there's no doubt that COD:BO will be a juggernaught that will steam roll all over MOH!
My Most anticipated game of 2011 by far. Seems they are taking a leaf out of Naughty Dog's book when it comes to multiplaye cut-scenes. Killzone 3 has got all the right ingredients to be an awesome offering. Hopefully there'll be less media bias than there was against Killzone 2!!!
It's probably M$ throwing away money again...
why?
Brain Training for Kinect - "Namco Bandai has teamed up with Professor Ryuta Kawashima, known for Nintendo's Brain Age series, to create a new type of brain training game where you make use of your body to respond to questions."
I guess this goes to prove that M$ simply don't have any original ideas left. Does this game sound fun to anyone... anyone at all... Omega?!?
Where are all the revolutionary games that we've been promised? Th...
Just going by what the reviewers have been saying about Move, if they apply the same judgements to Kinect, then it's going to get panned. M$ will have to pull some magic out their... 'hat' before November, if not the critics are going to have them by the short and curlies...
I have yet to talk to any 360 fanboys that think Kinect is the next best thing for gaming, i.e. button free gaming 'a la' "you are the controller". They all agree that Kinect would be good for controlling the dashboard, and would only be good gameplaywise if augmented with a standard controller.
However, M$ are Not wantign to add controller functionality to Kinect, because this would undermine the 'you are the controller' shpiel they want us to sw...
the screen is touch sensitive and simulates buttons, and button presses. Button slider to unlock screen. Button mapped to screen for keyboard functionality, touch relevant 'button' displayed on touch screen to select relevant music option, touch relevant screen 'buttons' to dialphone number etc etc etc...
If the iPod/iPad did not simulate button presses, you'd have to control it soley by using your voice, or by shaking/turning the device.
0.75 of a point? Really? how pedantic can a review score get?!? Seriously, round up or down to the nearest half a point 7.5 or 8!
Anyway after playing the demo, I can say I'll definately be picking this up fpr the PS3, the reviews have generally been favourable across teh board.
I'm guessing the multiplayer will be like Left 4 Dead, where some will play as the Necromorph while others play as the engineers. If implemented well it could be really cool!
More people get carpal tunnel syndrome from using a keyboard and mouse...
anyways I have tried Move, and it convinced me that Sony is onto a winner. Trust me (or don't) when you try it, there will be very little to say against it!
"Would of been..." >> would Have been!
Did the author not edit her own article, or is a good command of English comprehension no longer required when writing articles.
Anyways, on topic - Move does not need saving simple because there are so many games (ergo developers) that support the device, that it will soon become a PS3 gaming staple!
Will definately give this a look. Here's hoping for more RTS games on the PS3.
Come on Blizzard - Starcraft 2 for the PS3!!!!!!
Target your core audience, get them invested in Move first, then go after the casual audience based on strong word of mouth from the core, and with clever advertising.
Target only the casual audience with advertising, while excluding the core. Ignore the core word of mouth and hope for the best!
It's not just about Christmas sales, it's about the longevity of the tech. You're not really going to invest 100bucks on a peice of tech that you'...
that Kinect Does not needa haptic feedback of some sort. The problem is the obvious limitations of purely relying on gestures to control and navigate a game! For example - how do yo move forward in the game? This results in most games being on rails?
Games that would be revolutionary have yet to be seen or even demonstrated for kinect. As great as Dance Central may be, it is in no way revolutionary, nor does it offer a compelling enough gameplay eperience to warrant an inve...
@baodeus "Anyways, out of all the games so far, i thought dance central has a lot of potentials and show what type of games kinect work well with."
^^But that's exactly the problem with kinect - dance games and such are the Only type of games it works well with!
...and the total lack of any compelling games whatsoever!
Man, it sound like at the conception stage, someone dropped the ball. So many core elements of an engaging MMO are missing from ABP. I doubt it would survive even with a Free to play model.
Hope I can play Elder Scrolls V without having to complete the prequel!
