I completely agree with you, it's like COd has warped everyones perceptions in regard to shooters. I've read a few reviews (I boycotted the destructoid one for obvious reasons), and most of teh reviews are unfairly critical. I don't even know what standard is being used to judge the game. Would people be happier if Zipper had simply released Socom2 HD? i'm getting my copy of Socom4 day 1.
Got mine on pre-order. Loved the Beta, i don't understand all the hate.
The dude is a major duche! For starters you have to tweek the sharpshooter settign to your liking. Zipper have given you 3 pre-sets, as well as custom settings for every aspect of pitch, turning, scoped aiming. If you can't figure out the settings, then you have no business in game journalism.
FAIL!
No really as compelling as I hoped it would be. While it looks pretty, the animations and character movement looks last gen.

Loving the podcast. Good to see that Zipper listended to the fans and scrapped the whole etags thing for classic mode. Definately getting socom4. Already got my sharpshooter locked 'n loaded!
I agree, I alternate between engineer and infiltrator the most. definately cut my teeth in Botzone first, epecially using the sharpshooter.
I have no idea what all the hate is about when it comes to KZ3, it is an awesome game.PERIOD. Play it with the sharpshooter, and you'll feel like you've enlisted with the UCA.

Yes! It would be dumb not to include Move controls at least for MGS:Rising. Don't know how they would implement it for kinect though.
