Can't wait for the AAA games to start rollin in though. Will be getting Sports Champions & Start the Party at launch (already got RUSE, Heavy Rain, EyePet), but it's when the heavy hitters start rolling int hat I'll be getting the most out of Move.
I got my confirmatino email today - "your pre-order is being processed". I can't remember the last time I have been this excited about hardware...
oh yes I can, it was when I got my PS3 slim ;)
I played Halo 2 on the 360 at a friends, but just could not get into it. I guess at the time I was not really into FPS, and was more into action adventure stuff like Onimusha, Devil May Cry etc. I respect it as a huge franchise, but I think I missed the boat when it initially kicked off.
Am I allowed to say Modern Warfare Series > Halo Series?
Well I just did... oops!
I also don't buy into the whole 'Halo paved the way for FPS on consoles' bulls1t! That's more M$ jedi mindtrick that the fanboys lap up. Before Halo on the xbox, there was Goldeneye on the N64, there was Timesplitters on the PS2, heck there was even Medal of honour on the PS1.
What Halo did for the console FPS genre was to pave the way ...
The inclusion of a multiplayer component does not immediately mean the singleplayer element will be gimped! That's flawed logic. Just look at Uncharted 2, GOTY single player and quality multiplayer that complements the single player experience.
From what I seen and read of Dead Space 2, the multiplayer complements the single player, and looks really good. My only reservatioh would be that the engineers are not over powered, and imbalance the gameplay. 1 engineer with s...
Dead Space was not exclusive at all, in fact it was/is very multiplatform.
Dead Space Extraction was exclusive to the Wii, but will be released on the PS3.
Do people really only read one review of a game, and base their decision to buy solely on the say-so of one game journo? WoW! Talk about brain dead sheeple!
If that's the case, then seriously at the very least check metacritic for a summary of review scores!
Better to be an informed gamer, than an ignorant one!
Hmmm... this is interesting, I wonder if Sony are also in talks with Lucas Arts for them to develop a Star Wars game for Move. Knowing Sony though, they've probably defered to their 1st party studios to make a game with the same sort of mechnics for Move.
Seriously though, is there any informed gamer out there who is eager to play a Star Wars game... on rails? Heck as far as I'm concerned the only on rails games that work are light gun games, anything else quickly b...
All they need is to implement Move support, they'd have a guaranteed hit. Rising does seem like a cheap cash in, and I'm pretty sure Kojima was not sold on the idea and that's why he's not at the helm...
While it may turn out to be a not too stellar Metal Gear Solid game, it may still turn out to be a good game in its own right...
as long as they implement Move support that is...
I'm actually really excited for Move and can't wait for it to be delivered to my door. I've got a 5 day weekend as well, it's just a shame that I have to wait tii 2011 for games like Sorcery, SOCOM4 etc etc.
But yah Move practically guarantees that I'm getting games like, Time Crisis:Rising Storm, RUSE, Heavy Rain - Move Edition.
Now if Sony can get Konami to implement Move support for Metal Gear Rising - Move will be insta Win!!!
i'm willing to put money on the fact that the 'cool' kinect news won't be game related. It will be kinect functionality with more media options - using kinect for ESPN for example.
Germany is just the begining, Move will sell well across the rest of Europe.
I got an email confirmation from GAME UK about my Move pre-order, that they have reduced the price of the Move motion controller to £29.99 (from £34.99), and have also reduced the price of the Nav controller to £22.99 (from £29.99) - so I'm basicaly saving £10, which I'll gladly put towards sports Champion!
Anywways my point is that even if Move does not catch on with untapped casual market, it already has with most core PS3 gamers. Even if ...
Kinect will be a paper weight in 6 months!
Dead Space Extraction comes included free with the PS3 version of Dead Space 2 - with Move support. Although Dead Space Extraction will be released separately on xbla and PSN.
I'm absolutely loving the look of the multipayer, those engineers look hardcore. I hope the devs still add that creepy scary vibe inthe multiplayer, although I agree that chatting with your mates will diminish the scares, unless the necromorph can 'hide' unseen in the shadows, and move around in the vents! It'll prolly be 4 vs 12 or something like that to balance the Engineers stasis ability and line cutters!
Here's hoping that they also implement Move c...
dude - you only play multiplayer games with a jump button?!! What multiplayer games do you play? Oh yeah Halo!!!!!!
You obvioulsy FAIL!
The Engineers prolly get 3 lives, while the necromorph endlessly respawn! But yeah, with stasis and the line cutters, the engineers are already pretty hardcore. Here's hoping you can also play as Brutes!
Why Capcom chose to use the motion control layout they did, it's like the dev's delikberately wanted to gimp the motion controls.
Why would you not use the trigger button to shoot? Why would you not use the Move motion controls to look? Why relegate that function to the analogue stick? Did Capcom let the interns patch the move controls?!?
I expected better. Hopefully other devs take this as a lesson on how Not to do motino controls!
I'm willing to bet they'll add a Zero-G level as part of the inevitable DLC bundles.
They'd be dumb not to tbh!
