I have to say though, some NPc's do recognise player race, I play as an Altmer, and have encountered race specific dialogue. I assume, playing as a Nord would also (should also) deliver race specific dialogue.
But c'mon we all have to suspend disbelief when playing games, it's the nature of the medium. The bugs don't help I admit, but it's in no way a deal breaker.
promises... promises...
LoL, that was awesome, keep em coming.
Player choice does not necessarily impact narrative design. Dark Souls and Skyrim, prove this to be true. They just happen to be two of the best open world games, and you could progress through the narrative in any way you like, while still having a solid narrative experience.
erm... it's already been done to death. Move along please...
Very good article actually (just ignore the troll).
When I buy a game, I have to invest financially, and then timewise witht he game. I always feel a pang of guilt when I buy another new game without completing previous games.
2011 was great with the amount of games througout the year, but I got too many games while on the hype wagon, and never completed them, or enjoyed them fully.
I guess 2012 will give me time to catch up on all the games...
Skyrim... all the other RPG's took an arrow to the knee O_o
erm.. that's quite a tame list. No real AAA blockbusters there apart from Elder scrolls. Meh, enjoy your new dashboard with Netflix and Sky TV. Obviously that stuff is more important to M$ than good quality exclusives.
Sad, but true.
TBH, if bethesda release a patch that removes the redundant items in the world, such as the killed villagers, for example - no one would mind. Especially if it fixed the lag. I understand that persistence is a major aspect of the game, but gameplay always always always trumps graphics.
I get this all the time. you have to switch to secondary weapon, and then back to primary to get the crosshair back. It sucks.
Abso-fkn-lutely loving BF3 right now. I can't wait for Karkand.
I don't know which is worse. The nerfed IRNV, or the noob trying to not fail at using it.
Bothered much?
Keep em coming guys.
Hmmm... I wonder if this confirms the 'memory leak'. Shame on you Bethesda, you need to get your QA guys and give them a stern shaking of the finger!
YAWN.
Next!
dude ofcourse it spoils things. Dude gonna be playin the whole game waiting for that moment. It happens and then... well, it just won't have the same 'shock and awe' factor.
Erm... **MAJOR SPOILER ALERT*** at about the 1min mark. C'mon guys don't put spolers in the vid, that's just lame.
Errm... 'minus it's faults' anything succeeds.
Don't get me wrong, Skyrim is a great game, but the faults of anygame are what make the difference between being awesome and being great.
I don't know, but I really enjoyed Rage. The story could have been more fleshed out, but it was in no way bad. The gunplay was fine, the enemy AI kept things interesting, as you had to keep on your toes whenever they came at you. I even enjoyed all the racing and vehicle take downs. It all ended abit prematurley (thats what she said - right?), but it was in no way a failure! I'd definately buy Rage 2.
ME3 is will be awesome. nuff said.
