Looking forward to this
I think Sony will have a great launch. They've got the install base for a succesful launch; however the only caveat will be the price of the console.
This time round, more that any previous gen, I think the user base will simply continue on their prefere platforms of choice. I really can't see many switching sides.
yup, my sentiments exactly.
Ok, but when is it out for PS4?
My Japanes history is rubbish tbh, but honest question, did they have female samurai back in those days?
This game is already getting flak for it's "historical accuracy," so I guess for the sake of consistency, it's fair to say if there were female samurai then sure. But if there were'nt any female samurai then - what's the logic?
Don''t fight me, I'm just asking.
Yo give me a shout when it's out. I'm down to take on some Oni.
This was so freaky cool. Man if ther ever allowed this deep fake mod to be released for the game I'll be all over it (I know it's never going to happen). Just reminded me just how awesome Marvel's SPiderman is. I can't wait for Miles Morales (I'm really really hoping that it will see a PS4 release as well).
I can't argue for or against the claim, as I haven't played all the games listed. But one thing that is a simple fact is that of all those games, there is only one that beats TLOU2 metacritic score, and that's Red Dead 2. Infact TLOU2 is comfortably ahead of 98% of all those games listed. What that tells me is that overall - as per metacritic ratings at least, TLOU2 is the better game than 98% of those games listed. The only two that share a 90+ metacritic score are God of War and...
Apart for The Telltale Walking Dead series, has there actually been a good Walkling dead game? They generally seem to be shovelware, unless there's one that I'm missing?
Great article, very well reasoned. However, I would say in the first instant the consoles releaseing this holiday would stimulate market growth and economies in the territories where they release. At he end of the day, it is people who make games. People who have families and who need to pay bill sa nd put food on the table. Same with manufacturing and shipping of consumer hardware - it is providing jobs for people who will be able to get payed and sustain their homes and families.

That's great to hear, it amazing how the minor detail really add to the level of immersion and believabilty of tha game. I look forward to the days when there is no uncanny valley anymore with NPC's in games. Naughty Dog are one of the only developers that really understand this and put much detail and effort into their NPC's. Hopefully CDPR can follow suit with crafting not just believable envirnments, but also belielable characters as well.
what's stressing you out though? Is it gaming related or just life related? I find that gaming is actually a form of stress relief for me.
Anyway, try take it easy, just pace yourself :)
Seems that Rockstar has stopped making games, and is content to just milk GTA V for all it's worth. I have to say though, selling 135 million copies across two generation is a record breaking feat. Who hasn't played it yet?
With all that said, PS5 getting GTA V online for free at lanch is a mojour coup de grace in terms of which next gen console to get at launch.
Rumours from anonymous sources etc etc
But Sony deos need to watch out for that Hubris. We all remember the PS3 launch and how that very nearly cost them the 7th Gen.
I honestly don't think backwards compatibility held back the PS4 at all. But I do think the PS5 definately needs to have backwards compatibility, not just to drive early adoption, but also to remain competitive against the Series X. Sony definately needs to honour the excellent back catalogue going forward.
@ Christopher
I do get it. I take your point about information that is publicly available. I just feel it should have also been an opportunity to say something more meaningful. The amount of photo mode screen shots that are out there is sufficient evidence that peope are engaging with the game.
All I'm saying is that something like the number of people who are on their second run through, would inform somethingn like the desire for NG+. Heck even the ...
@Abriel,
But I am intersted that's why I clicked ont eh article. I was interested to find informative information. If the stats where about no. of people who have the platinum, or even who have completed the game, etc - it would still be for fun purposes, but it would also be actually insightful information.
Why exactly do we need the number of hours on horseback for?
I love Ghost of Tsushima, but I really don't get the point of stats like these. Number of copies sold, sure; but number of standoffs??? I don't get it.
What would be actually useful and informative would be something like, the number of people who have actually completed the game - in proportion to the number of copies sold. Heck tell us how many people are on their second playthrough, or how many people play the game on hard versus those that play on easy. Or how m...
No PSVR?
