Unfortunately the author set himself up for criticism with that title. The title suggests that historical accuracy is something that Ghost of Tsushima got wrong.
However, from day one the devs have made it clear that this is a game first and foremost, and the 'historical setting' is simply the inspiration for the game. They never intended for it to be a 1-to-1 recreation; so suggesting that it is something the devs "got wrong" - is being wilfully pedantic....
Absolutely fantastic game, and the Legends update is brilliant. It's one of those games that I don't want to end.
I don't know anyone that is bothered about the historical accuracy of this game. That's just such a random red herring for the sake of nit picking on the game. But yeah, thanks for the history lesson anyway.
Your loss.
Quote - "The Japanese tech company pre-sold as many PS5 consoles in the first 12 hours in the United States as in the first 12 weeks for its predecessor PlayStation 4 device, Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, said in an interview."
Now that there is impressive. If we extrapolate those numbers, it's no wonder some analysts are suggesting PS5 will outsell the PS4.
Shame I still cant find one for love nor money.
For me it was Timesplitters, SSX, & Tekken Tag that I picked up with my PS2. I don't think I've had a better launch bundle since.
Timesplitters has to be hands-down one of the best FPS games of all time, it's such a shame that they've been struggling to get the franchise back on it's feet. https://www.youtube.com/wat...
My fear is that this remake...
Branching story definitely.
Absolutely brilliant game. I cant quite put my finger on what makes it just to enfrossing. I think it's primarly the combat, the variety of options available and just how intuitive it is. I love just looking for mongols and just wrecking shop.
I also think that the legends mode is absolutely brilliant and can't get enough of it. Feel free to hit me up if you fancy co-op and are in the EU time zone 🐱👤
It surprises me just how biased and anti-sony Eurogamer is (and by extention Digital Foundry). But as they say "to be fore-warned, is to be fore-armed." So I know what I'm getting with DF. But yeah, don't let them get you down, I can still watch DF and filter out the bias.
Although I have to admit, I canelled by Eurogamer account, and I refuse to whitelist them on my adblocker.
And yes, it does make me sleep better at night 😉
The Witcher 3 has to be up there. It's still a phenominal game all round.
If there's one publisher that I trust to handle content right, it's CDPR.In the frst place, the game has 3 different start states and multiple endings. So there's replayability from the get-go.
The other thing is that we don't know what was cut, or why. As the dev said, there're ideas that unablance the game or that just don't work proporly etc. This is part of the development process.
Gamers need to stop acting like entitled and ...
I think that's just being disingenuous. However you want to spin it, Marvel's Spiderman - Mile Morales is a highly anticipated title this November. Especially as it is a flagship launch title for the PS5.
Yeah right. Don't pretent as though you're the only human being that doesn't have a backlog.
Everyone has a backlog.
It wasn't too bad in the end, overall they're very positive about Miles Morales. But yeah, I agree that the slight dig at the begining was completely unnecessary. It's not as though the character was created by Sony, it's a Marvel character.
Firstly, shame on you for not including Marvel's Spiderman: Miles Morales; that game will shift PS5 consoles.
My money's on Cyberpunk 2077. I won't have time for any other game... well, maybe I'll make time for the aforementioned Miles Morales SPiderman game
Thanks for the explanation, it was very helpful to understand that there'smore going on than sheers size of storage. I honestly didn't know.
👍
🤣🤣🤣
Exactly. And when you tink it's all done... he later introduces you to his wifey... 😒
How can you say it's irrelevant, especially when it's an additional cost on top of the console? If the PS5 or XSX came with 1TB storage standard, people won't now be looking to spend hundreds of dollars, or external Hard Drives.
I don't know about you but I can't play any new games without first deleting something on my HDD.
Aww... man I remember the various encounters of that 'headless' ape. Of all the bosses, that one still gives me nightmares.
Brilliant game though. Wish I could mind wipe and play it all again afresh.
I don't get why 1TB isn't standard storage for the next gen consoles. Did they not see the install sizes for some of the games this gen?
Review copies are in the wild.
*sigh* I wish I was one of the lucky ones who will be getting a PS5 for Christmas, but unfortunately I'll have to wait until next year sometime 😢
