I'm still curious to see how this will go on a console. Half the fun around Oculus Rift is all the wacky crap that people make, little ten minute demos that some random person made over a week have experiences that AAA games will never have. Maybe a user content store or something would work, something similar to the OUYA's store where anybody has access, but I really don't see Sony letting that happen.
The hate for D3 was mainly the loot system, and partially about the original difficulty of inferno. The loop system was so bad, combined with the weirdly scaling difficulty, that you basically farmed easy crap until you had enough gold to buy better gear from the AH. It went against everything Diablo was about. It didn't really have much to do with the combat.
Yeah because no console game has ever had slowdowns, screen tearing, or pop ins... apart from 99% of them.
"why do everyone who is straight or gay think they have to constantly beat someone over the head with their fucking sexuality."
You mean like people who start their opening statement by bringing religion into the mix despite there being an even larger amount of religions than there is sexuality?
Just remember it is only 900p on consoles, at least I think, haven't been paying much attention. It is still a decent amount larger.
Can't believe there are people not buying the game because of this. Do people think this game is just going to be a giant orgy or something? Maybe some dick sucking mini-games? Little kids afraid they will get caught by their parents while staring at some dicks?
And most 360/PS3 games for the past few years has been leaked on torrents well before release, this isn't just a PC thing.
1080p = 1920x180 = 2073600 pixels
792p = 1408x792 = 1115136 pixels
2073600 / 1115136 = ~1.8595
It is rendering approximately 86% more pixels. Granted 'power' doesn't include just the GPU, it is still doing a lot more than you expect.
@Gasian
It's not an alpha release like many games on PC have been doing. It's simply an alpha test, these are not new on consoles. They are essentially the same as a beta test, though since it's before beta it will most likely have far more glitches, bugs, and possible features not implemented.
I don't believe the hype, I hate the game, but it still manages to sell a heap every year which is proof that some people clearly do care.
It's the top selling game on both new consoles, obviously some people care enough to pay money for it.
"PC gaming is dead" doesn't refer to the fact that the games suck (even though they are still better than the console versions), it's people who literally think that no games come out on it (despite having more games coming out each year), and that nobody plays on it (despite PC revenue being more than consoles combined).
I hope soon devs realise that PC is still far ahead of consoles and start boosting the graphics up to what the hardware can really use, ho...
So now the game is next gen because of the controller?
You mean the gameplay that is also present on last gen systems? Now that's next gen!
It's been stated that mid level GPU run this on ultra at 1080P/60FPS, and that PS4 runs it on high. So PS4 runs at lower res, lower framerate, and lower graphics than a mid range card.
Huh, I thought most harddrives were running at around 100MB/s while USB3 was only around 70MB/s, guess I just have a crap USB3 harddrive.
At least I'll finally be able to backup massive games.
"You install to the external drive and then play games from it. ... all your games on the HDD are ready to be played off the HDD."
This does not sound right... Read/write times of external HDD are far slower than internal HDDs, this will effect RAM massively... Loading, getting textures, everything would be majorly effected.
Edit: And no theoretical speeds do not count, real world situations are what matters. And what happens if someone uses USB2? ...
Would I rather good game and crap res/fps, or good game and good res/fps? I think it's quite obvious. People can argue all they want that it's not important, but the matter of fact is it doesn't have to be a good game OR good res/fps, you CAN have both, and I play games with both.
Even resolution and fps play a role in gameplay. Higher fps means quicker responses and generally feels better, higher res (and FOV) means you can see more, and it's clearer. Nothing...
I just hope E3 isn't a CGI conference of upcoming games like usual.
And all Jews love money, all blacks steal, and all Americans are fat right?
I'd honestly like you to name five gay characters that 'ruined' a game. Oh that's right, you can't, you just make up crap. I could name far more straight characters that have ruined games than you could gay characters.
