Damn, no 24 FPS cap, big black bars at top and bottom, and no noise effects. How am I going to have a cinematic experience now? That's what we all play games for anyway.
She does, obviously.
Here's how you implement it: If you don't want an unfinished game, don't buy it.
Some of us enjoy early access, hell most of the games I've had fun with over the last year have primarily been early access games.
The headline should really add "by a week", but I guess that wouldn't get as many clicks.
Windows is so much bigger than Xbox will ever be, if the Xbox was the core part of their business there would be something majorly wrong.
Ah yes, such good times playing Uncharted and GTAV on my PS4 and Xbone!
"The first consumer version will be a lot better than DK2 - a lot better. There’s a lot of unannounced things we can’t talk about, but it’s going to be a lot smaller, a lot lighter, cheaper, wider field of view, higher resolution and higher framerate." - Palmer Luckey at E3
Note the "cheaper", I'd take the word of the founder of the company over some random devs.
Are you sure you didn't get the price mixed up with the rumored resol...
It was specifically stated that they are aiming for CV1 to be LESS than or the same price as DK2, but with much better hardware. Who said 2k? I have never heard such ridiculous claims.
It's much easier to get 120FPS on consoles...
And must not be able to play MP3 or any other basic files.
@HeWhoWalks
Lolwat, how many people don't own a PC of any kind, yet own a console? It doesn't exactly require a good computer to run PS1/PS2 games...
A lineup such as ...?
Rift has decades of potential games ready via modding, many of which are drag and dropping of files for a pretty good experience.
SWAT are sent for high risk situations such as hostages. Depending on the type of phone call they don't screw around. You really think they are just going to single a cop up there to say howdy and see what the go is? There are people lives at risk when it isn't a prank, and they are trained to treat every situation as such.
To the police it is better to send in SWAT for a prank than to risk a family being slaughtered by some crazy person.
Sadly it's pretty common. This is like the third one I've heard about within the last 6 weeks or so. A heap of the really popular twitch streamers have had it happen, and a lot of celebrities have also had it happen.
A lot of the PC elitism is aimed at the consoles BECAUSE games aren't moving at the pace they should be. So many games have clearly been made to work for the console, be it control schemes, UI, gameplay decisions or the overall feel. Then you have the fact that devs aren't pushing nearly hard enough because they get the console version to be pretty good then just expect that it's "good enough" for PC, when in reality there are a lot of us with machines that are barely be...
If the future requires a downgrade in res, fps, and graphics then sure.
I'm trying to see how much dust my cabinet collects and the PS4's colour makes it stand out more.
Steam sales are when the games go on huge sales. PC games are still FAR cheaper and usually drop in price much quicker. Steam sales are more like games that cost $2.50 will cost $20 on consoles, and will have a non-sale price of around $10.
It's not uncommon for big titles to be $30-$40 on release compared to the $60 of a console game.
There is no way Destiny is going to last 10 years. That being said, if you really need to know about the game's state before buying it, you have the opportunity to read over a few years worth of forums if the game has been out for that long. It doesn't take long to figure out if the community is alive, or if the game has turned to shit. I do it with pretty much every old PC game I buy, it doesn't take long.
The devs said 2 hours, it clearly isn't anywhere near as long.
