'Best in Class' is a phrase to refer to someone/something that is the best in specific area/industry. The same way a person may be the best fighter in their weight class, or a car might be the fastest for its class.
This application was referring to the best visuals in gaming, however this is most likely a marketing buzzword since it is for job position where they always try to use fancy words.

I'm not a halo fan at all, but the original xbox and 360 were clearly known for halo. It was THE multiplayer game (local and online), and boy did the xbox fans love it. It was basically the most sought after shooter before CoD4 started taking popularity.

'Deserve' low scores is subjective. This game is immensely popular, especially with it being free to play. It's currently the third highest game being streamed on twitch right now so I would say many are enjoying it. Blizzard are known for fantastic gameplay and great games, so this shouldn't even be a surprise.

A game is a game, if you play it you are a gamer. If you sit there and number crunch farmville for 18 hours a day to get the most optimal farm (note I have no idea if farmville has any sort of statistics) how is it any different to those who number crunch in games such as EVE Online?

PC version always looks better. It's not hard to supply higher resolution textures, and the ability to change to a higher resolution and add in better AA, along with all the other effects.

There is a saying "vote with your wallet". People are fed up with companies doctoring their gameplay to make it look better than it is just for extra hype and sales. This is false advertising and a LIE. It's as good a reason to cancel a preorder as anything else.

No, there is most certainly a 'story', it's even talked about in that video you linked. I'm quite confused about your post, unless you were using some sort of sarcasm that makes no sense.
It's a job application, they are written by the hiring team, not the development team. It isn't unusual that they make ridiculous claims.
