@Joel
Don't go to hard on him, I think he might also have down syndrome.
What the hell is up with the writing in that article? Was it meant to be funny? That's some terrible 'journalism'.
But... this is running on Windows, all it confirms is that it's better than Direct X at some things.
More proof that PC gaming is dead. /s
I'm pretty sure the game itself isn't 60gb, it just REQUIRES 60gb (for the install). Say you download 25gb of files at launch, these are compressed and have to be uncompressed. You then have the big compressed files, and then you have the uncompressed ones. Once that is done it removes the compressed files. Since you have need at least twice the amount of room needed to do this, it makes sense.
Do you often just walk down the street spouting unrelated topics at people?
You buy the game in early access, and you play along as they develop the game, same as how Minecraft was.
And they mean cheaters, as in cheaters.
Haha holy shit you fanboys are delusional. Leaking classified information is illegal, and ALL companies (yes, your favourite company Sony) take action when non disclosure agreements are broken. Whether he (assuming CBOAT) had an agreement with MS is another thing, he may have very well gained access to MS internally without permission, which is a whole different situation, or very likely has an inside man who is breaking NDA, so of course MS wants to track him down and find out what is happen...
Low level refers to abstraction layers of hardware (the 'bare metal' term that gets thrown around here is one of these 'layers'). Low level is not a term for low end hardware.
Mantle has always been referred to as a lower level API than Direct X or OpenGL.
"9x more draw calls"...
..."however if you already have a good cpu but a low end gpu, or a good cpu and a high end gpu, Mantle won’t affect performance alot."
You would think they would have mentioned that before they went into marketing buzzword mode.
At least this argument is a bit less annoying than "PS3 has no games" being spammed everywhere.
Damn, and here I was expecting a proper skating game.
I really hope SKATE makes a return on next gen. I thought EA was going to start milking it hard, but they seem to suddenly stop.
Kickstarter is NOT buying a product, it is INVESTING in a product. Why would they refund it simply because he doesn't like the direction it's going? You don't get a refund when the organisation you invest in goes a direction you don't like, and it is no different here.
It's a PC that costs less. You want Windows you install Windows.
Go ask the Sony fans why people should buy a PS4 when 99% of games are on PC and you will get the answer (although if you thought about it for 2 seconds you would know why).
Exclusives.
There would only be AI and jet packs. I guess battlefield is a halo clone since it has guns and vehicles?
Even without mechs it's more different than generic shooter v4.0 that most games shooters to be.
Internal harddrives are usually far faster than external, and since developers are making their games based on a single speed it means they can tweak things like texture streaming. Slow it down by a massive amount and you can get all sorts of weird, unwanted effects.
The ability to actually back up content to an external harddrive would be nice though.
@Joey_Leone
You can be in online mode without the internet (if you lose connection you will stay in it), and you can then change to offline mode if you desire without connecting to the internet.
Yeah this racing sim needs more realistic stuff that we see in real races like guns, and flying cars, and magic.
Ah yes, nothing like blaming the big guy. You know nothing about their motives. The time the game released is one of the biggest times to release a game, and not to mention consoles were coming out which makes it even more important to them.
How do you know EA didn't go 'okay guys you have 2 years to get this game out' and DICE just screwed up internally and couldn't make it on time? Why should EA have to lose millions because of that?
In the ...
