ITT: People think VR is purely for gaming, and companies don't need money.
Although I am more surprised it wasn't someone like google who bought them.
4K and 7 FPS is the future of gaming!
I'm not sure I understand your point.
I'm well aware that Xbone will support DX12. I was simply giving you a quote from Microsoft upon the Xbone's release that backed up the claim that OpenGL isn't natively on it, since it exclusively runs Direct3D.
"The Xbox One graphics API is “Direct3D 11.x” and the Xbox One hardware provides a superset of Direct3D 11.2 functionality. Other graphics APIs such as OpenGL and AMD’s Mantle are not available on Xbox One."

The majority of people hating on the trackpads haven't even used it. They think it looks crap, so they assume it will be crap. It's the same people that say VR headsets suck and don't work, yet have never even tried them.
@Menech
That's... not quite how it works, while it 'could' work it would feel different and wouldn't be nearly as good.
While it doesn't require many major changes (provided it was built sufficiently the first time), they still need to change the way the game is rendered. Since it uses stereotropic 3D to feel depth it requires the code to be changed to have dual cameras for rendering.
Then there is also the fact that due t...
@LKHGFDSA
Your reading comprehension sucks. He clearly stated that the 3D part of it has a drastic decrease in resolution compared to NOT using 3D in the game.
It's also a design choice by devs because if they want better graphics they NEED to sacrifice framerate. If they could have it look good and be 60FPS they would, but as it stands with the hardware they prefer to lower the framerate (as most users don't care) so that they can bump the graphics u...
The download is actually only 20gb, despite Origin claiming it as being 50gb. Still ridiculous that the game managed to hit 50gb installed.
Wow, a company runs on money, I am shocked.
Does this honestly come as a surprise to anyone? Games these days cost millions to make, if you aren't going to make a profit why even make it? You would just kill your own company.
The current model of OR is the same as Sony's, you are comparing against the old model.
@Ezz2013
Did you just use the fact that someone hasn't finished their games to suggest that everyone does in fact finish games? Do you understand that point is agreeing with the fact that some people don't finish all their games?
I love how people have concluded that Sony's VR headset is cheaper and better than the OR even though it hasn't even been confirmed to exist yet.
But people are making stuff for the rift, and it's not even officially out of testing phase so I'm not even sure what your point is.
And your point about framerate and jaggies is full WTF, It's a screen, framerate and jaggies are not a problem if you have hardware capable of rendering it correctly.
Why would they only use 60%? If they got to that stage they would just add in more things to make it look even better...
You're also talking about arguably one of the best looking games on console to date, I wouldn't call that lazy.
And what games do you relate to? The majority of games are unrealistic. Or do you walk outside in your wizard outfit pretending to cast spells at the cars that drive past?
Motionjoy works perfect with the PS4 controller. You just plug the controller in, boot up motionjoy, then select 360 and it works in all games that support the 360 controller. Only thing is that it shows Xbox buttons, but they aren't hard to learn if you have never played an Xbox before.
The Azure servers weren't finished being built in Australia yet, it's just lucky that they were done nearly on time for the release.
You aren't a professional in this field with experience.
If this was a Naughty Dog dev everyone would be agreeing with the opinion.
I'm glad I live in a world where you will never be a game designer.
Those 'cons' are so broad, and can be applied to gaming now anyway. The second link even IS talking about gaming, just because it says 'virtual reality' doesn't mean it is talking about head-mounted displays.
