it's april for goodness sakes.. i only own a ps3 (and wii) but i must admit i get sick to death of journos writing the same out of date stuff over and over again. stop this flamewar stuff - it is pointless. every console you own is going to make you happy. the only people who aren't happy about their consoles are the ones who come here to slag off the competition.

320gig for 150 dollars is good enough for most people - since you only do manadatory installs for your MOST PLAYED games. the games that you don't play so often can live with optional installs. i will at any one time have 5/6 most played games. 5/6 x 25 (even then the average ps3 game won't even take up 25gig) = 125/150 gigs. this leaves me with around 150 gigs free which covers the bases pretty well.

if there was an option, i install the whole game to hard drive. i hate working out the laser and drive motor on my blu-ray drive. to date most laser consumer products i have owned have failed because after prolonged use the laser and motor packs up.

ps3 = 8k? is that all? SCEJ needs to regionalise more PS3 games for Japan.. SCEJ don't seem to regard the wii as competition.. PS3 needs games in Japan. There aren't enough games and definitely not enough of the variety that Japanese like.
BTW I got mario kart and it is hardly different to the Gamecube version. Am I the only one who thinks this?
agreed, effects and framerate better >> 1080p but if anyone can deliver all the aforementioned then insomniac can.. ps3 owes insomniac more than any other publisher

reminds me of all those who camped out for one of those nextgen consoles and got mugged by a some guy who knew they had wads of money..
it really doesn't matter who wins so long as there are still three via competitors in the next next generation to help keep cost down for the consumer.
maybe true but if handled correctly it should help generate hype and keep the game in the public eye. the problem is not necessarily pre-alpha captures but more delays that gets people annoyed and kills hype.

the word control is a bit excessive..
ms and sony don't want to control the content of iplayer - they just want to integrate it into their respective dashboards..
bbc wanted to retain their iplayer dashboard so as to increase revenue from their commerce side.. nothing wrong with the beeb's decision. but once a the ps3 browser is updated to the current flash the iplayer should work.
are you sure you put the disk in the right way up? the printed side should always go face up.
EDIT; I got a disagree so obviously someone thinks that the printed side goes face down. The guy who disagreed with me is obviously going to have problems playing GTA IV.
