hmm.. the whole attachment looks really practical.. i.e. use my two hands to hold the ps2 controller as opposed to using my two hands to hold the gaming device.. it is all becoming very clear - wished i had thought of it earlier. this is going to be the biggest thing since... errr.. the errr.. the atari lynx.. =) GP2XX you heard it here first - once they avoid chapter 11 that is.
this isn't news - it's an opinion.

it's on their website but have you seen how expensive GAME games are?? they are real rip-off merchants.. just an example of how rip-off they can be i went into a store today and they were charging 35 pounds (70 dollars) for a PRE-OWNED motorstorm. their website is generally cheaper but i asked them if they price-match with their own website and they said they don't - how bad is that?? they don't even price-match with themselves!!!! lol rip-off merchants are we is GAME.

not likely but if you got to retail you will see that the 80gb seagate momentus drive is only 2 dollars more than the 60gb momentus drive (used by ps3s).for the sake of 2 dollars this makes good economic/pr sense i.e. give the customer a better drive for free.
read the post properly. the 8 usd refers to the new price not to the drop in price.
lost in translation, i think the 5 million is really 5 million ps3 AND blu-ray players. don't think in it's heyday the ps2 ever sold anywhere near 5 mio in a month - so the number really means for both ps3 and blu-ray. this should help both blu-ray players and ps3's to drop in price since it most necessarily implies better yield.
this is such silly behaviour. sounds like cutting off the nose to spite the face i.e. you will end up with less cash and crap movies that you didn't really need in the first place.

personally i don't think there will be a winner - if that is the case then i think the consumer will end up being the winner since more competition => better and cheaper games..
the global games market is so big now it should be able to support all three players.
no reason why it can't be done - i think this rumor originated from some job postings for nextgen developers from said publisher. it has been denied that this rumor is true but never say never - especially when a lot of money can change hands to get this done.

in my opinion, having owned both systems, i think the ds and psp can appeal to different people. certain games can work better on ds (platforms and those using the touchscreen) whilst others work better on a psp (fps, sports, simulators).
overall i prefer the psp but i am grateful for the ds for expanding the games market and bringing people - those who wouldn't normally enjoy games - into gaming. in the same way, i think the wii has done the game industry a good service even...
