i actually prefer moving as much onto the hd as possible.. this not only ensures faster loading time but reduces the strain on the blu-ray drive motor, help the laser to last longer and reduces the probabity of disc scratching.
pc gaming has had hd loading since the dawn of time so i don't know what the problem is.
yes it says Valve will be big because it owns steam.. big deal.. console gaming is where it is at and digital distribution is active in wii, xbox360 and ps3 - a place where valve, a predominantly pc company, has little or no presence. it is valve that is behind the game.
you are on cloud cuckoo land if you think valve will buy EA. ask any industry observer apart from the muppet who wrote this post and you will see what i mean.

psp is sony's little unsung hero. the psp is like a neglected child that keeps on trying to please. it's less successful sibling, the ps3, seems to garner all the attention but the little poor psp keeps on fighting for recognition. keep plugging away little psp - your time will come. hahah.

of course they are not happy. EA Q3 (xmas quarter) perfomance was a disaster when compared to their peers. infact it was a complete disaster for a company of their size. EA business model is broken (i.e. heavy reliance on sports franchise). their purchase of mass effect developer was a step to changing their business model - although they massively overpaid. EA desparately needs new ip.

the wii is an animal. every kid under the age of 15 wants one and every household has to own one for party/social games. these two factors make the wii a monster..

actually there is detailed post (in N4G) that says the blurriness is due to motion blur - an effect that the xbox version does not have. they also stated that the ps3 has better textures.

regardless, go to 2:44 in the scene and you can see a big difference.. the surface and textures are 100% better on hdmi.

microsoft says they will never ever tolerate a delay like vista again. hence vienna will come out on time and xp will be forgotten after sp3 and vista will only have one major service pack. vista will be abandoned because the majority of corporates will transition straight to vienna. vienna will be subscription based pay per upgrade/content to generate a smooth revenue flow that shareholders love.
true but i heard this will work on a subscription service unlike vista and xp. ms intends to charge people for regular updates and usage a la xbox360. they don't want the cyclical revenue nature of the old business model.

console sales are killing pc sales ( i haven't got time to go into numbers but i know i am right ). and if you have almost no presence in the console market then the above phrase is stupid.
steam is not some holy grail since it isn't a captive market like wii network, psn or xbox live. anyone can...
