Or they didn't contribute to all three!
Anyone who disagrees must have a giant green lizard sister hidden in their briefcase.
It's not an easy task to track sales figures when Microsoft refuses to release them.
Can't think why they may want to do that, can you?
Yes, I'm sure all those fools who were suckered into buying an Xone over a PS4 because "the cloud will make it 4x as powerful", will be completely justified when, 3-4 years later a single average looking game is released.
It would be a very hollow victory if you ask me.
"lol where would the ponies go if that happend, Microsoft?"
They wouldn't join the Nin-ten-yearolds, that's for certain!
Why? Sony fans wouldn't put up with the crap Nintendo fans do. If Sony released a sub par system like WiiU, the fans wouldn't stick around.
Sony gamers just want to play the best console games on the best console ecosystem available.
AC unity didn't cost £3.00!
@Rookie
* bode well* (bold means something else entirely).
How does Nintendo's wealth effect Sony's outlook in any way, shape or form?
What's the point of making the company worth more if the company is so tight fisted they refuse to invest properly in their products?
Part of the reason Nintendo are profitable is because they under invest in their anaemic consoles.
It would be good news (for gamers) if it were anybody else.
@ Blackout
Why the hell do you think anybody cares about how much profit any of the companies make?
I was going to question your intellect but noticed that you think the words here and hear are interchangeable, that speaks volumes.
To congratulate Nintendo for making a profit whilst producing such a disappointing console is insane.
Well done Nintendo, you stitched your fans with a 2nd rate console and they still think it's ...
Well they made far more profit by going 3rd party, so there is a strong case. If NX fails it could be mobile all the way.
It's carmageddon. Some good reviews from people who didn't want it to stray from the original.
I think most knew what they were getting.
Somebody could always come out with some kind of "create a hero/villain" game.
With a good enough character creation mode people could either create new heroes or recreate famous ones.
That's one way around licencing issues.
I remember an interview with a Sony exec years ago where he said the magic number for consoles was 7. By which he meant that the time to release a new console is when you are 7 times more powerful than the last iteration.
They said that it was a fundamental design philosophy and I believe it is still the case.
If it is still true, it would mean that the PS5 would be 'targeting' about 13.5 terraflops.
Well the WiiU has sold around 3.2 million, the PS4 3 million and Xone just under 700,000.
Total around 7 million. How many Japanese console owners last gen ?
"Megadrive" I think you'll find it was called. Pfft 'Genesis'!
*Proof
I'm struggling with the game too, struggling to find any enthusiasm for it that is.
I did give it a try but concept doesn't work for me. Maybe I'm missing something or maybe I just like the bits in games between the boss battles too much.
For me a boss battle is a barrier that must be overcome to earn the next part of the game. I see them as the fullstop (period) at the end of a paragraph, a purposeful punctuation to the action of the main game.
I don't want to be pedantic (but I shall be), Scheduled TV is still far bigger than video streaming is (if you look at the data)
TV viewing is declining, but streaming outside the millennial generation is still pretty small.
I think in another 3-5 years it will be a different picture.
It won't be close to PS4. Not using mobile chips at least.
