It's a more powerful PS4, what's to know?
I'm not being facetious, It's just that it's all X86 (very boring). The updates will be the same as upgrading a PC with a few new parts.
I hope Sony use something more exotic for PS5. Something with different performance parameters than a PC.
Power difference is power difference, it is percentage that matters 100℅. To claim that 25% of 100 and 25% of a million aren't the same thing is really stupid.
The difference in power is exactly the same whether you start with a higher or lower number.
Its basic mathematics. 40% more powerful doesn't triple it's worth if you start at a 3x higher base value.
I think pretty much *ALL* PS4 games outperform X1 games to varying degrees.

That's not true, there are all sorts of development issues that can damage a game no matter how passionate the developer.
Does anyone ever intend for their game to be unfinished and buggy? Surely that's a byproduct of development issues.

The difference between the Scorpio and Neo is 40%. Exactly the same difference as between the standard machines.
This means that every comment made on BOTH sides when the standard machines launched is equally as valid towards the opposition.
If you think the difference between Neo and Scorpio is so huge, remember it is the exact same percentage difference as it was between the X1 and PS4.

PS4 slim for better games and higher resolutions or XBoxOneS for 4k video.
Seems like a reasonable choice to me. Both offer things the other doesn't and don't forget that PlayStation is the premium product.
But you'd have to downgrade to an Xbox One though.
