Was definitely a good game, I think Red Dead Revolver was my favourite Rockstar game on PS2 though..

It wouldn't have blown anyone away, it would have annoyed every Mad Max fan out there. There is already too much homogenization in games and films, there are too many American accents everywhere. An American accented Mad Max is like a Chinese accented James Bond, absolutely ridiculous.
Thank god they have seen sense. (and this is coming from a 'whinging Pom' btw).

That's exactly what it is, but it has a cartridge slot to play original games on. Pretty good deal for retro gamers.

Is that even possible? Unless Hitler was penning a roadmap for the NaziBox in his bunker, I don't think so.

Interesting read. Never been a big fan of most EA sports titles, although I am a boxing fan which means I have a choice of the Fight Night franchise or nothing (I actually do enjoy Fight Night, but have nothing to compare it to). I prefer PES to FIFA, and with no Fight Night announced for next-gen, I'm not sure if I'll be playing any EA sports games (unless UFC is better than I expect it to be).

Anyway, it's a new generation, so I'll keep my eyes open and see ...

@Die_Fiend

Its the most respected magazine because it contains well balanced arguments & opinions, treats the reader as an intelligent, informed person rather than an obnoxious youth. It shys away from sensationalistic comments/headlines unless it has a strong argument to make and doesn't jump on any bandwagons to keep fanboys happy.

I have been an avid reader for more than 20 years. They offer good reasons for the review scores they give and don'...

"They did handheld-console connectivity, motion controls, dual screens, touch screens, ect. Then the other two mimic their methods when they prove successful."

They didn't do any of these things first, they are the one's that 'mimic'. You haven't got a clue what you're talking about. Go on, do a little research and tell me which of the features you mentioned were pioneered by Nintendo. If you can't be bothered to...

You didn't read it, its not even an article. Its an advertisement for their next issue. BTW Edge is THE most respected gaming magazine available.

@Coltrane_C (below)
Exactly, so how can you comment on its validity?

It's not a bad article, you are just being defensive. It isn't 'revolutionary', its just the mainstream implementation of various forms of gaming. The thing with Nintendo fans is they think Nintendo is so innovative with everything they do.

I was reading a lengthy article the other day posted by one such fan saying how Nintendo were the first company to bring out motion controlled play on a console, and Sony and Microsoft just copied the idea. I had to point out ...

Thomper stop trolling. In the last post of yours I read you said that you haven't been a fanboy since the megadrive, yet you visit every Sony post and give an initial speech about how great both systems are, followed by how much better the Xbox is. I get it, your an Xbot, so why pretend your neutral all the time. MS suits would get appreciation from Xbox fans too if they weren't all such planks.

You clearly have no interest in the PS4, so why the need to comment on th...

I'm not so sure about that.
I know I may be taking the car analogy too far but British cars like Jaguar, Range Rover, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce and Bentley all have a strong market in Japan, as do the German Marques like Mercedes, BMW and Audi. Ferrari and Lamborghini do well for the Italian manufacturers.

The reason for this is quality. The Japanese make high quality, mass produced products better than anyone, so to break into their marketplace you need to show t...

@swerve121

You won't see a Cadillac anywhere outside America, because they are crap. American cars are poor quality, cheaply made and use outdated technology (some new 'muscle' car's still use the same type of suspension lifted from the horse and cart for goodness sake (leaf springs on mustangs etc)).

Ford's sell well internationally because they are completely different to the models you get in America.

I'm English an...

If they are virtual servers (most likely as Microsoft refuse to deny this when asked), it means a lot less. You could set up 300k virtual servers off of a single hardware server (they'd be piss-poor weak, and virtually unusable).

Come on, its Microsoft, giving anything away 'free' is so painful to them and goes against all they stand for. I'm sure there's been many sleepless nights with Microsoft execs thinking " there MUST be a way to charge a fee for our free games".
