Heavy Rain looked better than that actress demo Quantic made on the PS3. There will be a game based on this tech demo!
Or use like a mouse, for RTS's, for fast typing, maybe evening up the difference between pc mouse controls and joypads in cross-platform FPS's. There are tons of uses for the touchpad that I can think of. Maybe you just need some imagination?
Like Morbid Obesity?
Xbone has no intention of streaming 360 games. They have to play catchup with Sony on that one.
At first there won't be as many games because there aren't many games for the PS4 as of yet (thought that was quite obvious). It will grow as a service over time (as it did on PS3).
I can live with bugs if it's a huge world. But I've been gaming since the 70's when every game was massively flawed, stupidly hard (and lots of fun). Honestly in the 70's and 80's it was the flaws that made the game sometimes. Check out Jetset Willie, there was a bug in that game that made it IMPOSSIBLE to finish yet it was a best seller and a highly acclaimed game.
Not even close to 80%. No c64, Amiga, Atari st, Spectrum etc (all have emulators, not on OUYA). More like 20%.
PS4 version please (my PS3 drive just died).
Going by what I've heard online,
OUYA is awful, everyone who has one and has expressed an opinion thinks so. Terrible UI and hardware quality.
Shield is almost as bad (poorly designed hardware and top-heavy)
Steambox has no market outside of the core pc gamers (who already have pc's).
All doomed to fail !!!!
Whatever happened to that Gizmondo, Gizmodo, Gism thing?
It charges in a little over an hour and lasts more than a day. Or you can buy a 10 ft usb cable for under $2. God, anyone would think it was rocket-science, are all Xbots this dumb?
@Mystogan
You unscrew the back, unplug the battery, plug in the new battery and screw on the back again. The whole process takes under 2 minutes , but as most of the batteries outlast the life of the PlayStation, you seldom need to.
You sir, are an idiot.
Touch pad is not a gimmick, you'll finally be able to type a message/email on a console without it taking the best part of an hour. If nothing else comes of it, its still a worthwhile addition.
I don't know about you, but my hands are symmetrical, Xbox controllers just feel wrong! Maybe one day if my left thumb migrates to where my first finger is, I'll agree with you.
Resolution and framerate = best graphics?
It'll probably be Killzone SF, considering Microsoft keep showing it everywhere!
And Xbots daren't ask questions for fear of getting answers!
Then why remove it now?
Why not just keep the feature then? Why not still apply it to your digital game collection? There is no reason to remove it if they think its that great. Sony had a similar system in place and didn't require 24hr check-ins.
I'm sure they will use it as a carrot to persuade people to 'opt-in' to the original concept.
It was Microsoft technicians who gave out the specs at the Xbone reveal. Surely they know better than 'little Timmy' about the machine they worked on. Open your eyes, you'll find it easier to see that way....I promise.
