They are already known, its just that some are in denial about them. The techs at the Xbox one reveal let slip enough info to accurately extrapolate the gpu specs. This fact is widely known but ignored by fanboys.
It was confirmed by the Microsoft engineers in an interview after the reveal. I think they ought to know the specs, they built the thing.

Its not as simple as adding the two bandwidth totals together to get an accurate measure of bandwidth. The eSRAM has a tiny capacity so it cant magically improve the entire 8gb bandwidth, just a small fraction of it ~ 1/240th of the total RAM.
What's that got to do with anything? Its also been confirmed as being developed by 3rd rate developers, but still thats beside the point.

Free to play games is a big draw to PS4 for those on a tight budget. You can spend £350 on a PS4 and play them online at no extra cost. XB1 costs £80 more and you need to buy an XBL account to even play F2P games, thats £120 difference already for fewer games. Not everybody has a large budget for gaming and PS4 gives you a lot more F2P games on a more powerful console for a lot less money. It may not matter to you, but it will to a lot of people.
The reasons I personally don't go to the movies (excluding private screenings as I'm a filmmaker)
1) Tickets are overpriced
2) Hollywood is just rehashing the same crap over and over
3) People munching overpriced popcorn loudly (and slurping drinks)
4) People scrunching sweet bags constantly

The pre-order sales depend on the number of consoles expected to be manufactured by launch day. If they were both releasing with say 2 million consoles, then you would be right to be shocked. However the fact that every store has received more allocations for release day PS4 units than XB1 units suggests that Sony is simply manufacturing more units in time for launch.

I think if the games are good enough, people will be willing to pay full price for them. Its nice that you can play something even if you're strapped for cash, and I can't see many people refusing to buy Killzone because Warframe is free.

Kinect was utterly useless and inaccurate, move was a lot more precise ( don't believe me, play table-tennis on both and see which allows you to backspin, slice and cut the ball properly).
