It isn't news that Forbes downplays the graphical discrepancies, after all they did pronounce the XB1 as the 'winner' of the battle of the reveals (whilst the rest of the world recoiled in disgust and disbelief).
It was a big factor for you a month or two ago when you were constantly mocking PS4 for having fewer 1080p titles and stating that there was no evidence of the 'supposed' hardware superiority.

I disagree with this completely (except the free online). If its a slightly more powerful PS3, yet is far more powerful than the WiiU, that would mean WiiU is less powerful than PS3 (which it isn't).
The biggest problem I see with WiiU is the pad. Tablets are ubiquitous and one that is tied to a particular games system has no draw to the average consumer. If they had made a really great tablet that matched the real-world performance of others and doubled up as a controlle...
I don't know, hopefully within 2-3 years. I remember all the doom and gloom reports when I bought a PS3 at launch. I knew that it had to sell at least 20 million in order to survive (you can expect a 10% attach rate on a half decent game and 2 million sales is usually enough to make a developer some profit).

Utter Nonsense, name one single thing that Xbone does better that is quantifiable rather than subjective. PS4 trumps it in every measurable way.
It was touted as a 1080p capable system (probably because Sony announced that PS3 was 1080p capable). Its similar to the way they spun the Xbox one as a 4k game system.
I suggest you do some research yourself and look at the MS PR spin that was circulating prior to it's launch. It may not have been a 1080p system, but that had no effect on Microsoft announcing that it was.
There weren't two far superior consoles launched a year after the PS3 and 360, if there were they would both have failed.

It depends how you look at it. 20-30 million sales are required to create a sustainable ecosystem for 3rd Party developers, anything less and its too risky to commit huge resources to the system. You would need that figure to be reached well before the end of the console's lifespan though.
50 million total unit sales would be slightly embarrassing (considering Wii sales), anything less would be pretty much disasterous (from an investor's standpoint at least).

The 360 was launched as a 1080p console, it just fell short of expectations, the same was true of the PS3.
Neither was ever touted as a 720p console prior to launch.
Its pointless defending the Xbox full-stop. The articles on this site reflect the general perception of the consoles throughout the world. Xbox one is a bad console, the only argument for having one is if you like their exclusive software.
Why defend an inferior, more expensive piece of tech at all, defend the software all you like, but the hardware is 2nd rate and there is no debating that fact.
Its the exact same AMD scaler that the PS4 has, sorry about that.
