seriously.
Im not saying Bill Gates is a bad guy, he gives a LOT to charity.
but whenever I hear him speak I hear the voice of Kermit the Frog.
Whenever he gives a speech I keep expecting Ms Piggy to come along and say 'Kermy... Kermy.... HI- YAAARGGGHHH!'
Jinxstar. The story has nothing to do with gaming. But I do think it has a place on N4G under the TECH section, because it shows how the Monarchy, a very traditional institution, is adopting this new technological means of communication.
Whether we like it or not, technology is changing the world for all of us.
the site is a parody of fanboy sites taken to the extreme. If it was 'real' it would be sad. Its a bit of fun. Dont take it too seriously. Enjoy it!
But it reminds me of UKResistance website. the Only difference is the guy who runs that site is a genuine console hate site. He HATES the PS3. Commander Zorg is his 'handle!' The sad thing is he is not a young teen, he is a 40 year old something man. :(
Let it be a warning to ALL OF US about taking fanboyism too seri...
I really enjoyed reading this article by Torrence Davis. He shared a little bit about his past, his passion and his website. Games Journalism can be difficult to break into in the UK. Sometimes it is not what you know, or how well you can write, but who you know. TheBitBag looks interesting. I can't wait to see the angle it takes in the new year. Good Luck mate!
Whilst you would expect a gaming giant like Miyamoto to be aware of what is going on in the market, he is probably telling the truth. With so many different minds across the planet it's not unheard of for different people to come up with the same idea, story, music etc
either way. Galaxy -Good! Ratchett -Good! Meat -Good! Jam -Good! What's not to like?!
The game looks amazing in the video clips ive seen, and Ive downloaded the Japanese demo which feels very, very nice. Photorealistic games are a big step closer.
I believe Gran Turismo would be improved immeasurably with vehicle damage allowed. I understand that the manufacturers dont want their prized cars to look damage, but would that really affect their rep. in the videogame age? Sony/ Polyphony have enough clout to say to car makers that if you want your game in, you have ...
Evolution are doing a good thing by supporting the game with these FREE updates. (I dont agree with paying up to £15 quid extra for stuff that once came free.)
The big thing is vehicle selection. Motorstorm is an amazing game but I could never understand why the PS3 couldnt easily flick from one vehicle to another. I guess it was to do with not having enough time to get used to the new PS3 hardware.
Anyway. Today is a busy gaming day. as well as the Halo 3 m...
Although Heavenly Sword didn't fulfil its promise, however it did have inspired graphics for a 1st generation title, that demonstrate the promise of the Playstation 3.
Can you imagine God of War gameplay, vision, sound, artistry all cranked up to the max. 1080p graphics, 60fps, more complex playability and the return of Kratos? It's going to be great.
Quality games take time to make. Be patient. Enjoy what 2008 has to offer. When it arrives, God of War III coul...
My mate was looking to buy a hdtv screen. Tesco's (massive UK supermarket chain) had a 50inch LG Plasma. With 1080p blazoned all over it for £899. It sounded to good to be true. I went and had a look. In small writing under 1080p it said 'accepts 1080p input.' Which doesnt mean sh*t! All it means is if you play 1080p source it will show a picture but NOT at 1080p. So what is the point of writing 1080p? It is to trick the average person who trust the retail shops!

If you havent already done so, create a UK user account. Im sure it be much easier for you than when I tried to make a Japanese account...
The themes are
- Mesmerise Theme
- Tori Emaki Theme
- Heavenly Sword Theme
- Motorstorm Theme
- Snakeball Theme
- Lemmings Theme
- Killzone 2 Theme
- SingStar Theme
They're all free. I really like the Snakeball, and Singstar theme.
I dont think the comment about signing in with the controllers is fair because you have to do that with any console's wireless controller. With the PS3 you have to actually connect a new controller via the usb wire or it wont get recognised.
The comments about faceplates was fair. "Who in the world cares about faceplates? They take a moderately sleek and modern unit of home entertainment gear, and turn it into a Fisher Price novelty item. Faceplates are s***."
PirateThom you hit the nail on the head. Earlier this year Microsoft said optical media will be dead by the time the next next-gen comes! and games would be download only. This sounds like Back to the Future II predictions illustrated everyone driving flying cars in 1996!
whilst there will be an increase in downloadable games, the bigger stuff will still need to come on optical media. As internet speeds / storage space wont increase so massively in the next 5 years.

The producer say that there are no plans for a worldwide release because there is no worldwide demand...
Surely we can make are demands heard?!
amazing isnt it. These sales are reflective of continental Europe's taste. After 2 years the Xbox 360 hasnt even got a single game in the top 10 of Spain or Germany (and Germany I think is only 2nd or 3rd biggest market in Europe).
The 360 has been a massive hit in its American homeland, and a hit with hardcore male gamers in the UK. Japan we all know has not been very interested, but why has Europe given it the cold shoulder? What could Microsoft have done different?
Basically TV sets are on sale that have 1080p resolution.
It says there are no plans for 1080p broadcast by British TV companies - so what!
1080p is used when viewing Blu-ray/ Hd-DVD and soon downloadable content, and some next-gen games.
It's the customers choice.
I choose 1080p.
thank you for talking how it is
OK, the facts need to be confirmed. But if a games writer is fired for giving an honest review, then the management have no ethics.
The website should be avoided. When we read reviews, we know that we might not always agree with the comments, or score. However as readers we TRUST the website/magazine that they are giving us their HONEST opinion.
Companies shouldnt treat consumers likes sh*t in a conspiracy of lies just to sell games.
I WONT BUY THIS GAME...
I'm really looking forward to downloading movies. The convenience of being able to 'rent' a movie at whatever time you want is gonna be great. I jsut hope they include localised content because I dont fancy paying 800 microsoft points for an episode of 'Everyone Loves Raymond.'
The first game took the GTA free roaming genre and put it in a brand new setting (Saints Row, takes some notes.).It had fantastic atmosphere, music and I love the island setting. Ive recently been playing the 360 version and the graphics make it look extra lush. I spend loads of time looking at those crimson sunsets.
The only bad thing with Just Cause is at times, the game felt a bit empty or repetitive. Hopefully the new game will inject a bit of variety, and more story. Mayb...
