I'm so happy about this!
I love Uncharted, beautiful landscapes, stunning water effects, sweet game. This is the first full price game to get patched, and Burnout Paradise is on the horizon. Not long before the first new games include Trophies, eg BioShock, Little Big Planet etc. Sony could have been a lot quicker with launching their version of Xbox achievements, but at least their here, their now, and its just gonna get better.

All hardware manufacturers are working on their next console, but what makes this story stink is that it is way to early for PlayStation 4 hardware design to be finalised, which is the part where Phil Harrison would come in.

Sorry VG247, but talk about making up a story to get hits.
No sources, just guess work.
Bad 'journalism.'

The article is tongue-in-cheek - so no need to take it too seriously.
But one line that sticks out is "finding someone online that has a mic is like discovering a unicorn." I have to agree this is funny because it often true. I bought my PS3 on the UK launch day, and bought a bluetooth headset in advance to play online. What I dont understand is how people can go to the trouble of buying an expensive HDTV, a PS3 which isnt cheap yet, and not bother paying out peanuts for the s...

Although ive visited the BitBag it was only to read articles.
This is the first video Ive seen of the HipHop Gamer. Great name! Great angle! Great Gimmick? I dont know if he plays up to the 'HipHop' part or he is really like that. But what is certain is that he is passionate about games. He ask a lot of good questions, and Ted Price even answers. He made me laugh.

The HipHopGamer has the potential to carve his own individual niche on the internet like Zero Punctuation has. ...

Im actually really looking forward to this. GoldenEye is still an eternal FPS/ multiplayer classic for me.

EA churned out a few ropey bond games. Im glad the developer is saying that this is more than just a license, its a gamers game. But then they are hardly gonna say "We've made the same old sorta sh*t that EA made!"
Fingers crossed this could be a great game.

I heard Don Mattrick is preparing to sue Sony for patent infringement of its 'Lips' Karoke game which he also invented.

@ decapitator
I downloaded the Tales of Vesperia trailer from the PSN. It actually looks like you are playing a high quality cartoon!

Seriously, I played the demo on my Elite. It looked very pretty, but it seemed a bit average.

Extra characters wont make me want to get it for my PS3.

It takes time to plan and set this up.
The videos are clever.
A nice mix of videogames and movies.
sweet.

Very interesting.
The controller is being demoed with Lego Star Wars & EA game's Harry Potter and Tiger Woods. These big companies are not likely to have gone to the trouble of reprogramming for any Third Party. This suggest that the controller HAS microsoft backing, which makes it intersting.

RE: motion controls
They work with some games brilliantly eg Wii Sports, however it shouldnt be used for all games. I dont want to be breaking into a sweat when gaming!

I actually wish I could get the Xbox (with dualshock inners) controller.

The Dualshock is great but was originally a PS1 controller without analogue sticks. In this state it was ergonomically excellent. Then the sticks were added. Nowadays most games are controlled mainly with the analogue sticks but, for me, it means too much stretching between thumb and forefinger with the right hand. My hand arch soon tires. Sony shouldnt be scared with experimenting with a new controller, de...

Excellent news.
a lot of thought and time is put into creating stories that bring game worlds to life. Look at Bioshock, GTA IV and more
This is a big step that gives game writers the respect they deserve.

Monkey Island is always gonna be very, very special to me. Nostalgia and gaming nivarna. 1 & 2 are perfect, and even 3 is mostly brilliant (until the end.)

Sega outsourced Rez HD to the original creator. Ron Gilbert created Monkey Island, and has promised to reveal the 'true' secret if he ever made another game.

Why dont LucasArts give Ron Gilbert the rights to make a Monkey Island sequel? He knows the characters and the world better than anybody else, and the f...

I guess they have to evaluate if it will be technically possible, and then if it is it will take some time to program and test. Dont expect to see this before next year. However im still very happy 2.40 is finally here. All the other stuff Sony can build on.
Wednesday = Good news!

Expanding the beta? I love the sound of this!
Saved preferences will be lost, which I interpret it as a good thing. It means the software has been upgraded to the standard which will be available to the wider public.

Hopefully come E3 Sony say "here is Home, available to download now!"

Panasonic have a very strong plasma business for mid-high end of the market. Pioneer who make the best reviewed plasmas are going outsourcing some production to Panasonic.

I prefer plasma because I like the sharper contrast. Most plasmas after burn-in of 200 hours will be fine.
Also turning on to a channel with noise will negate effects of ghosting.

Silgon. You make an interesting point on the differences between the Xbox Avatar caricature versus PlayStation realistic look. Ultimately this is all subjective.

However I think the Avatar 'fun' look doesnt fit in with the 'cool male' image that Microsoft have tried to build for the Xbox 360. This year will see more older people pick up a PS3 for its blu-ray. Im [guessing] they will prefer the real-world look of Playstation HOME. Maybe this is what Microsoft wants is to go for...

LITTLE BIG PLANET will be a hit that will feature tons of customisable characters. HOME is coming, and Nintendo already has MIIs. This Autumn will be the breakout year for customisable avatars. Microsoft dont want to be late to the party. There is nothing wrong with using a great idea, every manufacturer uses rumble, but i cant help but worry that AVATARS will be a half-way house...

The original is a classic.
I was actually hoping Sony would get around to releasing it on the PSN before the release of the new game. That way it would have been great advertising for newcomers to Metal Gear, and it could remind old timers of the plot. As it is, (i dont have the original on cd) im having to watch MGS1 on YouTube!

Anyway. it would be great news if true.
