I actually did know about this particular product. But apparantly there are at least 10 more product placements.
The game is coming soon. I want to avoid spoilers. Please dont reveal secrets, no matter how small, in the title.
Thanks!
Look. The DS has been a phenomenal sales success. The PSP is compared unfavourably.
However it has sold more units then the xbox 360 & playstation 3 combined!
It has been the no.1 selling console in Japan for the last few weeks.
Yes it could do with more great games. But I dont see how anyone can say its not a success.
It is strange that PS3 owners on Thursday morning are having to guess what is coming later on that day.
The PSN has been running for over a year now, enough time for the management to get the service on its feet. It should be easy for Sony to co-ordinate with people on the Official PlayStation Blog team, so they give details out early in the week, eg Monday. Then everybody knows what is coming.
@thereaperson.
You know what? You might be very right. If it means being part of the Home beta/ Resistance 2 Killzone 2 beta/ it might be okay!
In uk money the subscription is £1 a month which is not bad, as long as Qore is great.
unbelievable.
Sony wants us to pay for them to advertise to us?
Qore looks great, I will definitely download the first episode, but you have to pay a subscription! $24.99
The fee is not much less than an annual Xbox Live subscription in the USA. Yes Qore is optional, but why charge?
Every week on Xbox Live there is FREE 'Inside Xbox' a free news program broken into chunks.
TheReaPerson, you are right. It wont be long before somebody puts the program on You...
@ GVON. Its crazy that the DualShock 3 is not officially available in Europe. Im happy i imported at launch last year. But, go to Amazon.co.uk and you can buy it from 3rd parties based in the UK in time for MGS4 launch!
Im guessing an 80gb PS3 that is backwards compatible with Dualshock 3 will be here soon.
I understand the business of business, a timed exclusive makes sense for 2k Boston and promoting BioShock for the Xbox 360. However there are other developers who make deals for timed exclusives and are open about it. EG. EPIC had a timed exclusive with Sony for Unreal Tournament. THEY DIDN'T LIE and say it was an exclusive. They let everyone know it was timed.
Im less inclined to trust Microsoft or 2k Boston. Lying to customers isn't the way to go.
Rare have already hinted that they are working on sequel to the N64 Fighting Franchise... Killer Instinct LOL!
or maybe a sequel to Perfect Dark ! LOL LOL!
Im actually hoping it will be something more heavyweight.
IGN give it mostly 10s, then give an overall score of 9.9.
I think the universal praise GTA IV received has made them cautious about giving perfect scores.
Its a (bank) holiday weekend in the UK. The biggest high street retailer, Currys, is advertising Blu-ray HARD in the press.
Buy any 1080p HDTV and get a Blu-ray player at half price. As well as big offers from Comet and Argos. Everyone has a DVD player, but its in the retailers interest that HDTV and Blu-ray sell well.
Of course Blu-ray wont take off as fast as DVD... however it is will become a widely, and popular standard in the UK. The Olympic games and Christmas will s...
@ Lenhart have you got any facts on Mass Effect on PS3?
After the Bioware sale to EA I thought Microsoft said they secured the franchise as Xbox exclusive?
Maybe the man is right when he says that Banjos blocky graphics are self-referential(!) ie suggesting lineage to the N64 games. However this should actually be a cartoony style of art, NOT blockiness.
This reminds me of Halo 3 being criticised for it's Halo 2.5 graphics. Before you throw your arms up in anger remember that they are nice but worst then Gears of War which came out a year earlier. Bungie's excuse? They blamed it on the artistic direction!!!
With this generat...
I love Indy & the fate of Atlantis.
A beautiful game in its day, although the animation and character still shines through today. With quality voice acting too. It actually feels like another Indy film, only you control it. For a graphic adventure the gameplay is surprisingly non-linear with 3 different styles of play. It captures the feel of the indy world and a great globe-trotting story. Le magnifique.
LucasArts should make another great graphic adventure. The market...
I understand what Microsoft are trying to do, which is to minimise jokey/offensive Gamertags. However the effect of their actions is to categorise gay men and women as offensive and abhorrent. My guess is that most of the people who use 'gay' in their gamertag are actually gay. Could it be Microsoft are comfortable taking the subscriptions of their gay Xbox live subscribers, just as long as they suppress their gayness online?
GTA IV is fine, the drunk effect is brilliant without making me sick. However, one game that, strangely, has always affected me is Tomb Raider. If I play it for more than 1 hour I start feeling queasy! Not just the original 1 & 2, but even Tomb Raider Anniversary on the 360. I dont know why this affects me, but other games dont. Maybe something to do with the super free camera movements.
Ive read that Japanese gamers dont appreciate 1st person games as much as western gamers ...
jackhammer06. What can be done is keep the Xbox 360 offline.
Change the date on the clock
Connect to Xbox Live on the 29th.
easy!
thanks for the link Marceles
at the time of posting it has 274 people playing now. In comparison to the sales they will make its small fry. Im guessing most of those are either journalist or shop staff who've taken copies home. This is probably the reason why Rockstar wanted early players to share their Gamertag details. I dont think pirates would be stupid enough to go online.
If they are pirates, this list will continue to spread. Call me stupid but I didnt know their was...
Monkey see, Monkey do!
Look, I know all the big 3 companies get inspired from each other.
But today Sony announce a PlayStation page on Facebook, and within hours Microsoft are inspired to do the same thing.
They are basically playing an immature game of catch-up, and saying "anything you can do, we can copy."
How did they not think of it before? It shows bad management and indicates a lack of their own direction and vision.
Like drug pushers who give away free samples to entice the innocent.
This "might" be viewed as indoctrinating the most vulnerable members of society, ie sick children. However, a good deed is a good deed, and it should bring some happy moments to sick kids.
This might be a naive question but does Microsoft have enough money to stop world hunger?
Ive been waiting for this for a long time.
The iphone represents the future where we will all carry a portable PC unit. But i think it cant record video which is ashame, and it would be nice if it had even more RAM but thats me being picky. But i love the GPS. I will save on the price of getting a sat-nav. Games, new software, 3rd party apps. Seems a steal.
