I have Vista running on a 4GB quad core. There a lot of nice touches. But when i first log in, and launch Outlook, it takes my PC about 1 minute before I can actually do anything. Firefox often stops responding, then starts responding again. And another thing, is my PC cant go into sleep mode. I put it to sleep, after 10 seconds it wakes up?! I've read a few people have this issue.
So i cant wait for the Service Pack!

I would love to be able to control the XMB with hands, it's technically possible for the Sony London Studios. But it WONT happen anytime soon.
It would require XMB memory resources-however as we all know Sony Japan are working on giving us in-game XMB. This is the priority. Once they get this out the door, then they might consider it.

I love the feel of Motorstorm. It has great playability. But it is missing a split-screen multiplayer mode. Sure playing over the PSN is fun but it is also fun racing against real-world friends. Being able to see their faces as you beat them is great. I am looking forward to Motorstorm 2, Im sure they will include split-screen.
If the Xbox 3 is released 5 years after the 360- it will hit the shelves in 2010.

HD-dvd consortium have cancelled there appearance at CES.
This means that Blu-ray will have the next-gen DVD limelight to themselves. If there is only one company present the media will see this, and write about it. Basically CES will see Blu-ray's coronation as the next-gen format winner. Will they be magnanimous in victory?
I have to say I knew he would like this news. It shows that big shot Hollywood movie directors can take the format wars quite seriously too!

This is major news. Warner Bros realised the format war was preventing sales growth.
But what does it mean for the PS3?
It means the machine has legs. Shops will now push Blu-ray exclusively meaning the PS3 will sell a little bit more.
Does this mean that the Xbox 3 will have a Blu-ray drive?
I have a 60GB PS3 and use it heavily for all sorts of media including photo albums and mp3s and now divX! But it was approaching bursting. just last night I spent 20 minutes deleting hi-res trailers and unwanted demos. PlayTV will increase it's workload. You can never have too much space. So why waste effort upgrading to a 160GB, the 500GB is a definite purchase for me.

However its been mooted that Microsoft are at a more advanced stage. Personally I dont think we will see the Xbox 3 before 2010.
