Good research mate, and definitely a bubble for you.
There are videogame journalists, and their are console cheerleaders - this guy is one of the latter. Real journalists have a code of ethics, and they strive to be objective. Console-cheerleaders see it as their job to shout down the positives of 'their rival console' and then boast about the qualities of their favourite console. Why?!
It was fantastic to get the MI remake last month (although I didn't like the gaunt Guybrush redesign.) A remake of MI 2 LeChuck's Revenge with a 'normal' Guybrush would be a dream come true. It is my most favourite series of all time! Have to agree with JVC and FreeMonk, Indy Fate of Atlantis and Grim Fandango are also ripe for an update on current gen systems, the stories and playability however are timeless.
Get series creator Ron Gilbert back to make the next 'full fat' Monkey Island game. He created the game, the characters and the world. I do love Curse of Monkey Island and its evocative music. But the first game introduced us to this magical tinged world of pirates, the second told us a melancholy story of broken dreams. I now want to discover the secret that Gilbert has been teasing, and the conclusion of the Monkey Island trilogy story that he started. Imagine it with hand-drawn animation, ...
@mrv321 "I want to play GTA IV in private not have the number of prostitutes I've killed come up on all my friends home page."
-Whether it was intentional or not, that line was very, very funny!
Both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network are adding features. I suspect I wont use everything that is added; but others will so as long as its free, then great! I don't have to use the new stuff, but it will be there if I want it. The more stuff that my PS3/360 can do...
How likely is it that Activision will break sales records with Modern Warfare 2 without the contribution of the PS3 edition? Not likely at all. Activision are not going to stop making PS3 games as they account for at least 30-40%+ of all 360/PS3 sales.
However Bobby Kotick's comments are worrying. If this very important man at Activision regards the PS3 as second to the 360 it means his bias ideology will filter through to development teams who will make inferior PS3 games which...
the video is only viewable in the U.S.
Does anybody know an EASY & effective way of changing IP/proxy address?
Can anybody list the content of the interview?
Thanks
From the very first time I put disk 1 into my Amiga and heard the wonderfully evocative music to the present day whenever I see or hear this game mentioned... The Secret of Monkey Island will be the game that stays in my heart eternally.
This game and its sequel are truly magnificent titles from the adventure game era. Great playability, story, adventure, pirating and the delightful (but feisty) Elaine Marley. The graphics may look a dated now, but at the time they were beautiful...
Its astounding how inexperienced writers dont let the facts get between them and a good story.
Some articles are opinion pieces, although you might disagree with a journalist you respect their point-of-view. However this flame-bait is terrible and discredits itself. The amateur writer attempts to claim that Blu-ray is 'killing itself' however the simple honest fact that 'Blu-ray sales have grown 72% in the last quarter' a phenomenal growth cannot, not by any stretch, be interpre...
After the Christmas games rush the first half of the year is normally pretty quiet when it comes to new titles. I think Sony have been pretty astute in delivering both Killzone 2 and inFamous before Summer has even started. It gives the games a chance to shine.
Ok so I'm not able to go to E3 - but thank f*** for G4tv and a fast internet connection! The Big 3 companies know that with the age of the internet E3 is more than just a press conference, it is a performance that is being watched live by the world. Last year was what I call an in-between year -nothing too special. This year could be amazing. So we've all read the rumours...

The Houser brothers made a genre defining series that leads the market. They deserve all the respect they get and more. When I think back to GTA III it was so amazing how it presented a game world that you could do practically anything you wanted. Since then they keep on delivering an improved experience. My eternal favourite is Vice City, this game took me back to the 80s like no book or film ever has. Yes there are now countless other similar games, but what the Houser brothers do is delive...
@thetamer "another Da Vinci Code film no doubt"
Sure they're both inspired by the same book 'The Holy Blood & the Holy Grail' but Broken Sword came first! The original game is one of my favourite graphic adventures, a great story of intrigue, and 10 years ago Nico was a delight to see. I really hope this happens.
@logikil
I respect your opinion man. You say "I tend to listen to HHG every Sunday just in the hopes that I make it through an entire episode without finding a reason to call him a Fanboy, and I never can." But get this, there must be something about the HipHopGamer show that keeps you tuning in?! Now I'm not saying you are a fan of the show but are keeping it a secret from yourself! However there are a ton of no-personality journos who bore me and others senseless. So the HHG...
Look. I understand that not everyone is a fan of the HipHopGamer, that not everyone likes his blend of videogame news, but then we live in free countries (probably) nobody is forcing us to watch his show. Sure you can be petty and criticise the man for not always using a spell checker but that is not seeing the big picture. For me, I've got to be honest, I love what he is doing. He has a genuine passion for videogames. He wears his heart on his sleeve. Every week he comes, he talks and he sh...
The Secret of Monkey Island is one of the best graphic adventure games. Great story, music, comedy, romance and adventure. So seeing those trainers is a beautiful reminder of one of my favourite gaming experiences. The art is taken from graphics near the start of the game. Guybrush lands on Melee Island with nothing but a dream to become a pirate. Oh, I wish I could by them!
Reminds me of that crappy joke:- A diner at a restaurant calls out "Waiter, waiter there's a fly in my soup" the waiter conspiratorially runs over to him and says "Ssshuch, stop boasting or everyone will want one!"
I don't know why the dad called the police, he should have tried to sell them. He could have made around £15 quid which could have gone towards the cost of buying his son another game, what a bad father.
I'm currently playing Fallout 3 and I am really enjoying it and playing in a nuke-ravaged Washington. However I would really really love an Elder Scrolls (Oblivion) online, as this fantasy world would be perfect for it.
The video is actually pretty funny and Molyneux is a good sport.
The pictures of the mixed animals adds to it. A bear crossed with an octopus? Funny stuff!
The original Fable is great, and I loved The Lost Chapters which had some more missions and stuff. When I gave my original Xbox away it still had my copy of the game in it(damn it)! Of course it wasn't perfect but I would happily replay it again today. I don't understand why Microsoft haven't put this newer version up on the store as it would be great to play Fable: The Lost Chapters from my 360's hard drive.
a list of tech blunders...
Do you think you see the Microsoft/Toshiba decision to back hd-dvd? NO!
This MSNBC article tries to erase Microsoft from hd-dvd history. It doesn't admit that hd-dvd was the loser. It puts a spin on the format war and says that the tech blunder was "Sony and Toshiba agree to disagree over HD" and follows up on how Blu-ray is 'losing' to DVD.
Dear God, what happened to journalistic integrity?
