The only game I have ever played for a lengthy amount of time and still hated was Final Fantasy XIII. I really disliked the first 10 or so hours of the game, but I stuck with it because I've played every other Final Fantasy game to completion, and I remember hearing from fans that the game improved immensely once you reach Gran Pulse, which is about 30-40 hours into the game. But when I reached Gran Pulse and was still disappointed and not enjoying myself at all, I decided it was finally...
beaks:
If I recall correctly it was Hojo who led Sephiroth to believe he was a Cetra. Gast had already left the Jenova project before Sephiroth's birth and went into hiding with Aerith's mother (who told him that Jenova was an alien, not a Cetra).
The original point of the Jenova project was to create a new generation of Cetra who would lead Shinra to the Promised Land said to be abundant in Mako. But when it was discovered that Sephiroth had none of the...
I hope they don't change the story tbh. Aerith's death is one of the most pivotal parts of the plot. If she doesn't die, then her spirit can't access the lifestream at the end of the game to stop meteor. Changing such an iconic gaming moment just for the sake of 'choice' or shaking things up would be silly.
It's a 20 year old game that's been released on multiple platforms including phones and ps4. It's not like it;s an obscure old game on a difficult-to-find platform. If people still haven't made time to play it, then they have no right to complain about spoilers.
I'm surprised we haven't seen anything of the RE2 remake too. Maybe they will show something at TGS? I'll settle for a short video or a few screencaps. Anything to know it really is in development!
How is it better than Minecraft? You can actually build stuff in Minecraft. There is an actual pay-off for all your collecting, mining, and grinding.
Except it wasn't journalists who were hyping up the game's features. It was Sean Murray. In fact, there are multiple interviews where he stated the game is multiplayer, and in one instance, even agreed with it being called a "massively multiplayer world". Here's a video for proof: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
And if people don't want to click on the link, here are the exact...
Nice try, but your comment doesn't apply here because:
1. This show is on a TV channel that is funded by the Australian government, so they don't get money from "clicks". Though this is hardly the only negative review of NMS out there, so it's not like they're blasting a masterpiece of a game for the sake of hits.
2. Sean Murray explicitly said during multiple interviews that the game would have a multiplayer component; the most ...
Hooray!
You didn't say you dislike Ellie because you don't relate to her. You said that Ellie isn't a strong female character (which is false) and that her existence and actions are 'glorifying the bad things' and 'political correctness' (which is also false).
If this was about liking characters we relate to, then that's fine. Not everyone is going to relate to Ellie. Not every fictional character in general is going to be relateable. But if we were ...
I'm sorry if you see a genuine attempt at helping you understand the themes of a story and motivations/actions of its characters as nothing more than a 'PC defence'. I'm not defending The Last of Us to be politically correct. I'm defending it because it's a well-written story with decently fleshed out characters.
You can have your opinion. That's fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But that doesn't make it any less ridiculous to hate...
You do realize that the term 'strong female characters' doesn't just mean physically strong right? It means female characters who are written realistically, with depth to their personalities, and with more than two dimensions. Ellie is a strong female character because she is written well. Just like Joel is a strong male character for the same reasons.
Yeah Ellie swear a lot. But she was raised in a world where the adults around her had more important things to ...
Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the stock-standard 'look' that Square has been using on all its characters lately. Squall always had a rather distinct face for a FF character (he was roughly based off actor River Phoenix if I recall correctly) so it's disappointing to see all recent iterations of him looking so bland and generically anime-esque.
It's funny you mention the body-language thing because just the other day I was playing through the end of Final Fantasy 8 again and it reminded me of something that confused me as a child. I remember finding it so strange that Selphie and Irvine bowed to Edea during the credits, especially because it seemed so out of character for them.
It wasn't until I was older that I realized they were bowing because they were Japanese-created characters showing a deep respect ...
My boss went on a huge rant the other day about how much he hates Pokemon Go and how he's glad his son isn't a "loser nerd" like the kids who play it. I get that people might have no interest in playing it, but the utter HATRED that people have for the game (and the people who play it) is so strange to me. Why are people so angry at those for enjoying something and having fun?!
I'm amazed she's almost 40. She looks great!
Wow they're mad if they think Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy XV look 'shit'
Yeah the script and voice acting tried too hard to match the lip-flaps and came off sounding so srilted and awkward. I also really disliked how squeaky and high-pitched Tidus's voice was for a 17 year old kid. It just sounded odd.
It's a bit early to be calling the game 'directionless' and 'too challenging' based in a brief demo with NPCs and story aspects removed.
Um, you do realize that the origin of the universe sounds stupid no matter what you believe in, right? Atheists believe that the universe magically exploded into existence from nothing. Religious people (particularly Creationists) believe that a 'being' magically created the universe from nothing.
In the end, the result is the same. The universe came into existence somehow and here we all are. I don't think the human mind will ever be able to fully comprehend w...
